Day 5/100 - truthfulness and openness Humility. Not pretending to be "spiritual" when I'm not. Live the truth as well as speak it.

Day 5/00 - honesty and humility. Not pretending to be what I'm not. In my case, "Sorry is as sorry does."
I press on. Since I've spent so much time fanning into flame wrong and sinful desires, I must press on to let the true sexuality that God has created to thrive and grow.

6/100 Busy day! But I want to keep up the pattern of checking in.
And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses (Col. 2:13 NKJV)
I am forgiven because God says so, regardless of how I feel.

Monday, 7/100
A call to look honestly at what I believe about God. A list of Scriptures given that show some of his attributes. It's worth taking the time to look them up.
Here is Isaiah 30:18-22 (the context of v.18, from ESV):
Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you,
and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.
For the LORD is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him.
For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,†when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Then you will defile your carved idols overlaid with silver and your gold-plated metal images. You will scatter them as unclean things. You will say to them, “Be gone!â€

Neh. 2:17 ESV:
Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in, how Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer suffer derision.â€
I am called to take ground back that I have given to the Enemy. Both big battles and little ones are to be fought with courage. I am called to walk in the light and show the way to others. Even though this is my own personal battle, others are watching. They look to me; I must walk in the light and point them to Jesus the light of the world.

Luke 1:17English Standard Version (ESV)
"and he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.â€
Wherever I am with fatherhood, I can still make a difference by walking a consistent walk with God now.

Extremely busy day yesterday; nevertheless, a very good day.
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
Gal. 5:1 ESV

I want completely freedom; 100 % purity; I guess it will cost me everything; I want to want to pay the prize.
Now I try to go into the sensual things; It might help me to avoid porn; If I don't do, I might only go into porn?

Yes, our sexuality is a beautiful gift of God! We come to him and ask him to teach us to use it his way.
My journey, cont'd - 12/100 - a Scripture from today's reading:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
(Matthew 7:21 ESV)
It's idolatry; I must come out of it. I'm not saved because of all the Christian stuff I do. I must take Jesus' hand, claim his promises, and come out of this idolatry.

Away from here mostly because I was sick. Updating:
Sat. - a serious slip. But not as bad as sometimes. I'm going to call it progress.
Sunday - couldn't go to church, watched Charles Stanley's TV broadcast. This was directly from God to me, re trials and temptations. A good day.
Monday - Tuesday: good days.
Today: pretty much back to normal health-wise.
"Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ." (Gal. 6:1-2 NLT)
I think the details of how this works are deliberately left out; there are various ways it can work. But someone's in a horrible pit, and rescuing him/her is a group effort.
"For we are each responsible for our own conduct." (Gal. 6:5 NLT)
They can't help if they don't know about it, and they can't do it all for me. I've gotta trust God, hang on, and pull!
So good accountability goes way beyond confessing and reporting slips and falls. It involves prayer, caring, and encouragement. It means a safe place to share.

The life of Joseph challenges me to trust God when the temptation doesn't let up. Those times when I resist it for the first hour, the first whatever, and then give in.
Joseph, alone in a foreign country [What happens in Egypt stays in Egypt???], had an absolute that would not be shaken:
Gen. 39:6b-10 ESV -
Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance. And after a time his master's wife cast her eyes on Joseph and said, “Lie with me.†But he refused and said to his master's wife, “Behold, because of me my master has no concern about anything in the house, and he has put everything that he has in my charge. He is not greater in this house than I am, nor has he kept back anything from me except you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?†And as she spoke to Joseph day after day, he would not listen to her, to lie beside her or to be with her.

Busy weekend, but things are good. Our pastor's Thanksgiving message went straight home on purity.
I am a child of the King. I am to behave as the person God says I am.

"You have heard that it was said, You shall not commit adultery.
But I say to you that everyone who so much as looks at a woman with evil desire for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Matthew 5:27-28 (Amplified Bible)
Ch 14 reminded us of God's great love for each of us. Here we see that God's love calls us to his own high standard of purity, beginning with our thoughts.
No excuses about the sex-saturated world we live in. The 1st century Roman world was probably no better. No excuses about we can't help it. God's command also empowers us to obey.

Holiday weekend good, but also crazy. Things are going well purity-wise.
Malachi 2:13-15 ESV -
And this second thing you do. You cover the Lord's altar with tears, with weeping and groaning because he no longer regards the offering or accepts it with favor from your hand. But you say, “Why does he not?†Because the Lord was witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant. Did he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and let none of you be faithless to the wife of your youth.

A wonderful yet crazy weekend! I have arrived safely at Monday. "Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." Romans 8:26-27 ESV
