It’s been a while since I last posted. Yesterday was not a good day. I gave in to porn after going about a couple of months overcoming it. It happened because I lingered too long seeing a woman wearing provocative clothing. The anguish I feel right now! I have asked the Lord Jesus for his forgiveness and repented. Now I feel condemned and empty. I want to get my fellowship back with the Lord. I want Him to use me. Please pray for me! I will post here now. But, I am determined to walk in total victory! This is a war I am determined to win, despite what happened yesterday. I can’t do this myself. With the help of the Lord and with the help of the group; I will prevail! Thank you for your prayers and support. I am an overcomer because I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!

Hey bro! Welcome! Keep posting, helps you keep accountable. I would recommend identifying your triggers and working to get them out of your life completely. God WILL give you the victory, but you have to work on it. God bless you!

hello iamfree, it's good to be with others who know what your going through. If you have confessed and forsaken your sins, and believe Jesus died for your sins on the cross and you believe that Jesus is alive, keep trusting in Jesus, He will give you peace at the right time. I know how it feels so bad after sinning, it feels like our soul and spirit is dying and lost and hopeless but we have hope because we are still alive and Jesus is alive too. Having all the right knowledge is good, (and I am also speaking to me too), having a real connection and real experience is good. I like what Mike has in his book, about accpeting God's grace and don't try to earn it, of course, it's the Bible that first says it, but Mike was encouring me when I read that because if feels like we have to do this or do that, but all we have to do is know that God loves us unconditionally, God is gentle. Dear Jesus, please restore our brother and help him to be used mightily for Your glory and Your Kingdom. Lord, it's so difficult because our nature is wired to be exited so easily by our eyes and mind, Lord, we know it's not an excuse, but please help us to be strong, and think purely. Lord, we trust in You to save us and help us. Please Lord, help us. In Jesus' name. Amen. |

God has forgiven you. We stumble at times and when we turn and connect to God and meet with him, asking Christ for forgiveness, he washes away and forgets as far as the east is from the west. Live in peace,grace and mercy. I encourage you to connect with men for accountability not just on the forum but in person. Surround yourself with brothers in sisters in Christ who are real and not mask Christians. Ask them to pray for you. You are a child of God, joint heirs with Christ. Meet with God daily. It is better to go in a room, **** the door and pray to your heavenly father than anything else. Trust in God. I'm still working on trusting God 100% of the time. Its a life's journey and we certainly aren't perfect by any means. Don't beat yourself up. Live in God's love. I'll pray for you.

Just wanted to report in: I was tempted on Monday to cave into porn again. Thank God, through the Spirit., I overcame. I am learning to live one day at a time on this journey. Again, thanks for the prayers.

Awesome. Encouragement to continue to turn and connect to God when you have triggers. Continue to ask the holy spirit to reveal the triggers and give you the tools to take thoughts captive. Keep pursuing God with every ounce of strength.

Also keep remembering it’s a lie iamfree. Porn is a big fat lie that never delivers anything but shame and misery both for the viewer and people involved. May the Lord bless you and all of us here with continued victory over this hideous sin.

It’s been good for the last few weeks. Temptation will come and I resist and overcome. Today wasn’t the case. I gave in after resisting. I will resist and the temptation will go away. Then it came back and I allowed it to overwhelm me. I am not giving up but I am tired of it. I hate this!!! The devil attacks my mind and I allowed the desire to over take me. Just want this to stop! However, I am not giving up! I will have total victory over porn. Please continue to pray for me. I am watching the triggers. It’s just the attacks in my mind!. I have asked God for forgiveness and repented. I am determined by the help of the Spirit to walk in victory.

I got trapped into porn when I was in my teens. It started out with masturbation. That was many years ago. It led me into dark places in my life. However, I am not giving up. I am in the process of joining a support group. |
