Sunday! As always, it was good to be in the house of the Lord!
Praying for us all today, no matter how much or little we post.
This Scripture comes after Jesus gave sight to a man born blind. At this point, he has just been excommunicated because of telling the truth.
John 9:35-38 English Standard Version (ESV) Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.” He said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.
Until this AM's sermon I never caught this, but Jesus responded, You have SEEN him! He had already preached quite a sermon to the professional religionists, and yet still didn't really know who this man was who had healed him. His immediate response: FAITH and WORSHIP.

Very busy, tiring day, yet God helped each step of the way. This was my Bible promise from this AM....
Psalm 55:22 English Standard Version (ESV) Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

Saturday! Much to be done.
Revelation 3:15-16 English Standard Version (ESV) “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
Lord, protect me from lukewarmness!

Sunday! Thankful for this AM! We are keeping the Sunday and Wednesday meetings; other things cancelled for now.
Proverbs 18:10 English Standard Version (ESV) The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.

Our church hasnt cancelled anything. The virus thing is so over hyped. I live in a hot spot so schools and stuff have been closed down for awhile. A local went to the UK and came back with it. That was enough for the government to shut down schools and stuff.
Say Psalm 91 over yourself and your loved ones.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
Psalm 91 ESV

I'm sorry savedbygrace. But thanks for sharing. Never give up... EVER! With relapse often comes a learning experience. Is there anything you want to do differently to help get a better result?

This time 30 days SBG! I'm currently at 12. Soon the flesh test will be coming. Like Amy says focus on staying close to the Lord so when temptation comes we can stand in His strength! This is why I fail.

This is why I fail. Stay vigilant. Stay close to Our Lord. You know it's coming. Be prepared. You can all overcome! How do I know? Because we have the Victorious One living in us!

Yes, I know it is coming.... just like clockwork.
What to do differently....
My verse or thought for the day, to literally write out and carry with me.... must be like this: This is what I WILL do and trust and believe THIS ONE DAY. No compromise.
"But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them." -Neh. 9:17b (ESV)

This reminds me of a consequences card I have saved on my phone. I learned it from a buddy of mine. Benfits: life marriage family & children keep relationship with God friends on TS and BG clear conscience better focus self love & self esteem keep sobriety date integrity increase productivity keep job embrace reality Consequences: die jail/arrest lose sobriety date separation from God divorce lose family lose job disconnect from TS and BG lose friendships harder to quit again loss of salvation lose self esteem stuck in fantasy

I am to defeat Satan not only with God's strength, but also with TRUTH. Satan is an absolute liar. The idea that I cannot escape is Satan's lie, and deep down I seem to believe it.
This day I will believe God and obey Him all day long. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double minded." -James 4:7-8 ESV
Church will be online today. My wife and I look forward to it.
