Hey Jake! It's good to hear from you. You should post more frequently. Isolating from those that understand your battle isn't good. Even when you are struggling you should post so that we can come along side you and lift you up in prayer.
Remember who you are and stop talking in defeat. You have won this battle because you belong to Christ. Speak as the victor you are. Never look into the past unless you are giving God the glory of bringing you out of it. Remember there is no condemnation in Christ.

I know that if I'm struggling, or slipping, or have fallen down, it's really, really hard to come here. And yet I must learn to do that... asking for prayer. I think God stands outside of time, that is, maybe someone doesn't see my prayer need right then, but later. But I believe God still answers.

Amen! I know that if I'm struggling, or slipping, or have fallen down, it's really, really hard to come here. And yet I must learn to do that... asking for prayer. I think God stands outside of time, that is, maybe someone doesn't see my prayer need right then, but later. But I believe God still answers. He does. God will honor your request for prayer and He will get someone to pray for you when you ask. He has woken me up to pray before. There are intercessors out there that God uses heavily because they are sensitive to the need for prayer. My mother is one. They may not know who they are praying for but God does because He put it on their heart to pray. So rest assured when you ask for prayer, you receive it. |

We don't want to say "I fell" or "I slipped" because it brings shame, disgrace, someone might judge you or I. It's hard for me to write my struggles too. I don't take pleasure saying "Hey I saw a pretty women and just lusted and you know the rest"...... The problem to fix that is to life a blameless life that only Jesus can help us live. I will confess to lusting today. It's a sin. It's a evil desire in me that wants to get pleasure from some other women not my wife and it's wrong. God please help us. Please help us to break free from these sins. Part of the reason why I am so far from friends and fellowship is that it's hard to see who is real and fake and who you can trust. I trust you will find a good Pastor or good brothers near you to call. For me the hard part is not that (calling brothers) but having even the desire to call brothers. Here is how to grow that desire. Jesus said to "Die to self" Ok. so I have to put that to action. How in my own efforts? No, just ask God for help and courage to call a brother to pray for you and help you. If you feel the Holy Spirit telling you to get rid of internet/etc/etc/ well just pray for help and willingness to God. Say "God" and be honest because God knows your heart already "God, I really don't want to call or stop but I know I need to or else I will die and you will punish me, please help me, please change me. let me change so you don't have to humble me to change me. I am afraid of you" Sometime I pray like that, but I know I am not supposed to fear God like that but sometimes I do. I fear God will throw me in hell for my lust so I fear death and airplanes because I am trying to control my own death which I can't so I am depressed sometimes. There is a lot I'm trying to say but the words are not coming out right. Anyway, thank you for being honest and I hope you can read and listen to the Bible at least 15 minutes a day. It helps me. I'm still technically sober for a while but I know I'm not lust-free or sin-free or adultery-free according to Matthew 5:27-30 and still puts me in the danger of hell fire I think. |

Wasn’t looking for it but some soft porn was on a showtime channel on my xmbc box. The channels don’t show what is playing on them just the network name. Tried to move on but went back and watched it and fell and masturbated. Can’t let this be an excuse to fall down the rabbit hole. Lord keep me from the evil that is in my flesh.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement and prayers. Yes I need to come and share here more often. You are wonderful brothers and sister in Christ. May the Lord strengthen you also in your battles against these sins and weakness of the flesh. Happy New Year! Will try and keep short accounts.

I have roku and have removed all movie apps. Mom and I watch YouTube where we can binge on our favorite pastors and watch nature and diy shows. |

And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Heavy temptation today. Mind keeps roving back to bad images and imaginations.

Thank you for your prayer support Amy and SBG. Made it through without physically acting out on the mess in my head. Thoughts finally cleared and then focused on my wife😉. I was struggling and really wanted to give in but the Lord pulled me in the right direction I believe.
And it was a good morning with other believers today.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

I know what you mean Jake. Why not take up a safe hobby? Learning to play the guitar or learn worship songs. I know I really need to get back into that.

I actually have some guitars. Mess around with them occasionally. Consistency is always my problem. Hope I get it fixed before I meet the Lord.
Speaking of.. my walk with God has not been consistent lately and I gave into the flesh last night. "P&M". Been definitely in the flesh for awhile and the payday came.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
