This is a time of intense pruning by our Lord. Have you felt it? He is getting rid of things that don't belong in us.

Checking in. No porn indulging. No self pleasuring. Media box fast..maybe made it 7 days. Sad part is other areas of my flesh are coming to the surface. 1)Not bouncing my eyes from women in public. 2)Cursing is becoming a big problem! 3)Very bad attitudes. 4)Self medicating.
5)Some sexual fantasy's.
That is why Amy's recent post was very encouraging.

Do you realize that sin keeps us from being intimate with Our Lord? It keeps us from seeking His presence because we innately know we are filthy and the Lord is pure and holy. Do you realize that Jesus Christ died to nullify and do away with the sin in our lives? Do you realize that by diligently seeking Our Lord those sins fall away? How do we seek Him?
Prayer...not mechanical prayer but actually talking to the Father as Abba God. Being as a little child. Being honest and real and keeping it simple.
Reading the Bible...We have to know Our Father and He has provided a living book full of a living word that tells you who He is.
Running to Him...As Abba Father, He wants us to run to Him for everything. Whether we are in trouble or are full of joy.
Worship...praising Him for all He is and all He has done for us.
Speaking truth...What is the only truth we have? The Bible. Speaking truth to your situation is powerful! Even when it feels like it's a lie, speak truth because it is truth and His word never returns void!

Rededicate your whole self to the Lord when you first wake up in the morning. You will find that those areas you are having issues with will not be an issue any more.

Yes, Satan does not give up easily, and he never will.
I am thankful for this good path you are on! Be encouraged! God is with you each step of the way.

Hey JJ,
so stoked to hear you are going well! Yes boy am so familiar with that syndrome - where other fleshly stuff comes to the surface - the dross - when we avoid 'numbing ourselves' with sin. It's a good thing! In that it means that the rubber is hitting the road and you are being purified. Just have to weather the storm - like a WWII bomber suffering flak on a mission!

Beautiful song Amy thanks! True Will. The numbing is real. The further from porn I get the less sexual I feel. If sex and sexual images didn't hit those feel good receptors in the brain none of it would be a problem. Of course the human race would eventually come to an end. But being able to enjoy sex in the way God intended is a great gift. Food is the same. Gift from God to be able to enjoy all the fun tastes of food but we can misuse and abuse that also.
Stinking thinking and fantasies eventually led to "m". Constant war with myself. Been neglecting my alone time with God. Need to correct that ASP!!
Thanks SBG, Amy, and Will for your encouragements! Praying for you all!

We got to challenge those intrusive thoughts with God's Word, and believe what we are reading in the Bible. I have to do this a lot.

Thanks SBG. Doing well in the area of online porn. No issues with "M" lately. Still things pop up on the media box as I am surfing but by the Grace of God I move on. Really wasting my time on that thing. My main battle now is with my mind and eyes. My addictive side is always looking for alternatives. Always some battle with the flesh.
Keep battling brothers and sister!!
14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[c] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature[d] a slave to the law of sin. Romans 7:14-25 NIV
