Thanks Kevin. Been struggling with depression and not in a good spot mentally. Used p & m and other things to self medicate. It all just makes things worse. I knew that but used it anyway. Insanity.

It isn't easy pulling out of depression...just went through it. I was so low I couldn't even sing. I just rocked back and forth at church saying "I worship you Lord. I praise you Lord." My church family prayed for me and then I was able to worship in song and I spent extra time in prayer and scripture. I am finally back to normal. Father, I ask that you be with Jake. Help him to overcome the depression he is going through. Help him to feel You near him urging him forward and cheering him on. In Jesus name I pray. |

Praying for you. We all need Jesus every day, every hour. If you feel God telling you to do something or not, you know what to do. Asking God for willingness and the change of heart (Psalms 51).

Thanks Dominic. Was just thinking about that this morning. I could be spending a lot more time with the Lord right now but choose to distract myself with many useless things and entertainment. I confessed to God that I do not love Him like He commanded me to! I love God but not like Jesus commanded in the verses below. I also asked Him to help me with this. 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Day 22. Last couple days I noticed that things are catching my eyes and some pornographic thoughts and temptations are creeping in. The flesh is getting restless. I am being very inconsistent with my fellowship with God and the flesh is flexing it's muscle. I cannot play with this.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

I also have difficulties when I get past 3 weeks.
If I can learn to practice 1 Cor. 10:13 and busy myself with the way of escape God shows me..... then by day's end I find a wonderful satisfaction and peace. Then, the next AM, it may be the same battle all over again. I must tell myself, THIS TOO SHALL END. God is going to bring me to a good place where the battle is not so difficult. I believe that.
