I was thinking about doing a post on sexual abuse in the church and porn.
I am a lapsed Baptist and I've seen Baptists of all stripes gloss over sexual abuse in the church.
I have two sites which list SE by name and many of them are well known in SBC circles.
It's just been exposed the BJU Bob Jones U in SC has covered up sexual abuse in their school for 80 years and they are a mandated reporter as educators. Many students came forward to expose SA in their homes and churches only to be told to forgive and forget.

Hi Sister HS3, That would be great. In Matthew 18:5,6 Jesus says: "And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large mill stone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea."

Steve mentioned the F-word in one of his posts. My experience is that with almost all porn, the F-word is used excessively by the women in these videos.

One Australian woman is killed every week by a former partner and as a direct result of Domestic Violence - such an ugly thing. Real men protect women not bash them.

As ya'll know, Ted Bundy spoke to James Dobson the day before his execution. He warned America about porn all those years ago. He was a normal kid who grew up in a loving home. He and his friends found porn mags in the garbage. He said he was so obsessed with porn that he ended up watching and reading porn that was violent (rape scenes) in nature. He said he felt an otherworldly presence when he kidnapped, tortured, raped and killed those women. I think he was demon possesed.
I think it is incumbent upon us as Christians to point out abuse in the church and to support the victims. In the Baptist churches that I'm familiar with, I know over 100 victims of abuse. When I redidicated my life to Christian, I went on a missions trip to IN and I wanted to help with Wayward Christians girls who were teens. They have protested and been on the news exposing the abuse at this place. I left after 5 months b/c he was starving us and using the Bible to beat us down. He beat those girls using a switch and putting a chair over the head and feet while they lay on their stomachs. They got free everything from corporations. He makes 250K in tax free donations a year and his real estate holdings are worth over 1 million. I know b/c I looked it up. My hubby was in real estate so I knew how to find his properties. I am now part of a movement that is exposing this pig who hurt so many precious young ladies over the years. I have written out a statement of what I witnessed and had it notorized and sent into an investigator.
There are over 100 of us who are speaking out. I am friends with many of them. I googled the name of the "ministry" and 2 of the women started websites and I joined immediately to speak out against this evil man. I hope one day I see the FBI raid his compound on Fox News and I want to see him walk the perp walk in orange.
Steve, the quote of the millstone is exactly correct!
I will sit down and pull up the info about the sexual abuse and do a post about sexual abuse. Many of the perps are supported by the church and the victims is called a liar and they are in turn shunned.
The Bible college I went to and the sister church of my college was on CNN for abusing 2 brothers sexually. One was a woman teacher and the other was a male teacher who sodomized a boy. I just wept when I saw them on TV. God help them.
The women of the ministry I worked at are the strongest Christians I've ever met. Most of them have stayed faithful to the LORD in spite of the abuse. But sadly, a few have become atheist b/c of the abuse done in God's name. But, I'm friends with them too.

According to data taken from Internet users who took part in the General Social Survey for the year 2000, the following are predictors of online pornography use:–– Men are 543% more likely to look at porn than females.
According to a survey conducted by the Barna Group in the U.S. in 2014:–– 64% of self-identified Christian men and 15% of self-identified Christian womenview pornography at least once a month (compared to 65% of non-Christian menand 30% of non-Christian women).

It wasn't that long ago that I thought I was one of the very few christian men struggling with porn addiction, lust etc. As I developed more of a relationship with the men in my church and the topic eventually came up, I realised that it was actually the majority of men I talked to that were either struggling, or had struggled with it at some point. This included my pastor who admitted he had struggled with it at one point and still has to be on guard each day to not yield to temptation. The biggest shock for me was when I confessed to my in-laws about everything I had done, to be told that my father-in-law had a porn addiction years ago. He was the last person I expected to have struggled in such an area. Needless to say, it is a huge problem in the church today and I fear will only get worse as the world slides further morally. Of major concern is how many men and women is it holding back from having a relationship with Christ, I know it has held me back for over a decade. So yes KK, scary stuff indeed.

Most libraries block access to P on their computers and monitoring systems red flag any attempts to override. However nothing is full proof. Facebook does have pornography on its sites and unless one complains they are not aware of it. But as soon as one closes another ten open under a new name. It sucks but so true. Sex sells and is a big motivation everywhere. So how to avoid all this...you can't but must learn to live with it without letting it in your home or life.
