Masturbation is a no no for me. It is too wrapped up in my addiction. I also don't think self-pleasure/gratification is what we are called to as Christians. It is selfish first of all. Second you are setting yourself up for problems in any relationship in the future.

Masturbation has always been considered a sinful act in my mind. Let me expound on the topic a bit. Masturbation has at it's core a total act of selfishness. Who does one please? SELF! Who performs the act? SELF! Who does one think about essentially? SELF! Sex was never designed to be a one person act. The Bible says it and so does science. It was meant to bring two closer together people.
Secondly if you take the word apart as a friend of mine once told me you get MASTUR. Very simular to the word Master. The Bible says to not let anything master you because you have only one Lord and Master. So SELFISH MASTER is what you get and who you serve in this. Let me tell you I KNOW.
So is Masturbation wrong? For me and for others YES. For you? You need to decide based on all the evidence presented. However there is a very strong case supporting it's WRONGNESS!

I have to agree with Jonathan and Amymine it is not good to keep bringing these habits in to our lives. It is like an alcoholic taking a glass of wine. Why put more wood into the fire. When we act out we are weaker and easier to fall again. I have noticed since I have been staying clean I do not need it. Yes the temptation has come and gone but I feel better about myself and stronger in the lord knowing I was able to stand.
