Good luck with the stray cat. Have your kids named it yet? You know it's part of your zoo now.

Hubby built her a little hut by turning a big laundry basket upside down and cutting a hole for her to get in and out of. I take soft food is mixed with water b/c I think she might be old. She looks SO much better. Of course, we bought the gluten free expensive food we buy our cats. The penicillin is clearing up the upper respiratory infection. I haven't bought the eye treatment yet b/c that seems to do the trick. The pen. is actually for cows and goats, but you can calibrate it and water it down with sterile water and weigh the animal. She does have one long tooth on the side and can't clean the knots on the right side of her body and her left back leg isn't the best. She'll have to stay out side for the winter, but hubby put a heating pad inside her hut with towels over it and then there is a big thick fuzzy blanket over the top of the hut. It's funny though, we'll open the door and she'll walk right in. From what I heard, people in my county are dumping cats in feral communities. Our city counsel refused to cull the feral cat community and even big dogs are getting attack in their back yards. All the shelters were full. Most didn't even bother to call me back.
If, and big if, we were to bring her inside, it would have to be in the Spring b/c we'd have to wait until we had the money to have to tested for Feline Leukemia b/c that can spread to my other cats. She's getting bigger tho and really starting to pack away the food. She pretty much just stays on our porch. It's been a warm winter so far.
Her name is Phoebe or as my oldest says, "Feed me." lol. I got the name Phoebe from the tv show Friends.
But the vets have gotten to be nothing but a racket anymore.

My dog shows his love by giving up his favorite sleeping spot and sleeping with me a few times a week. He also has to protect me when I take a bath. He doesn't have a tail so he puts his ears back and gets this hopeful expression o his face. He loves to stand between your legs when you are standing....causes problems with mom because she isn't as steady on her feet anymore.

Last night, SO and I were sitting on the couch having a serious discussion. Lady was on the floor right beside me... leaning on me and making sure that there was body contact the entire time. God did a wonderful thing when He created dogs. :-)
