“‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.'" -Rev. 3:8 ESV

If I were to evaluate yesterday on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the worst, I would say 4. Because I learned a valuable lesson.
"Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD! O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy!
If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?" ---Psalm 130:1-2 ESV

This will be a good day. One day at a time.
Obviously, I need to make this choice each and every day. But right now, today is what I have. It is God's gift to me.

I am thankful for those celebrating milestones!!! You are a huge encouragement to me.
Today I am reminded about how strong God is in my behalf. And how He is totally ON MY SIDE.
"But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting expectantly for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life."
"....Now to him who is able to protect you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of his glory, without blemish and with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority before all time, now and forever. Amen."
...Jude verses 20-21 and 24-25 CSB

It's morning in my part of the world. I have chosen this Scripture to remember today, the simple truth that Jesus offers me fellowship with Himself.... all day long!
"what we have seen and heard we also declare to you, so that you may also have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete."
-1 John 1:3-4 CSB

Amen, talking with Jesus, like in a continuous conversation, a prayer to God. Thank you Jesus.

Super crazy day today, but I held onto that idea about fellowship with God. Even under stress we can still stop and remember that we are in fellowship with the King of Kings!

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."- 2 -2 Tim 1:7
I find myself coming back to this wonderful promise over and over again!

This is a great promise. Thank you for sharing it. I remember it as song that I was taught as a child.

A happy and blessed New Year to all!!!
Ancient Israel also received invitations to new starts....
“Do not remember the past events; pay no attention to things of old. Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert."
-Isaiah 43:18-19 (CSB)
Edit: I just realized that this same passage blessed Dominic! Thank you Jesus!

Jan. 2. I am called to GROW. With God's help I am to break free of the old ruts, the old ways of thinking and doing. God wants to help me grow. Making an effort to post here daily is a discipline I need. Even toward the end of the day, like today, I am writing about the Scripture that started off my day.
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity." -2 Peter 3:18 CSB
