Keep close to Jesus. Try to ask for willingness to keep resisting temptation. Praying for you

Amen.
I need to listen more to others and say less. But today is a good day!

Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.

Good morning/ good day everyone! May you have a blessed Sunday!
Psalm 40, 1st few verses...
I waited patiently for the LORD;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
making my steps secure.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the LORD
....from the ESV.

I reset my starting date to yesterday, even though I did not do a total fall the previous day. I can and will do better than that by God's grace.
Psalm 44:5-7 New Living Translation Only by your power can we push back our enemies; only in your name can we trample our foes. I do not trust in my bow; I do not count on my sword to save me. You are the one who gives us victory over our enemies; you disgrace those who hate us.

SBG Seems like the 3 week demon is on your back. I’m almost 4 months away from my last indulgence and it is way easier to resist now. You can do this. I’m the weakest willed person. But God has given me the grace to move past it so far. And I know if I don’t watch myself I can fall in a second. I actually sometimes miss it and start playing with the idea on how to slip it in. But God has given me the grace to say no. I still have occasional falls in the other area but even that temptation is getting weaker.
Dig in and prepare for the 3 week battle. You are already victorious in Christ. Don’t let the flesh punk you. It’s all a lie.
Praying for you brother and I am going to be posting to you every day starting October 1st when that 3rd week approaches.

Thanks for encouragement!
This AM only Decaf. Yes, I can actually live without caffeine.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 Christian Standard Bible
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Haha...The Lord told me to stop all caffeine. I miss it sort of. The headaches and nausea are much better. Was having issues with that when in certain situations and the Lord told me no caffeinated beverages and to stand strong in the power of His might. It is always wise to listen and do what the Lord tells you to do.

Non-negotiable!!! I must start each and every day with a strong commitment to walk faithfully with Jesus that day no matter what the day brings.
Psalm 61:2-3 New Living Translation From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.

Continuing: the start of the day is super important, as I learn to live out that commitment the rest of the day.
Psalm 44:5-7 New Living Translation Only by your power can we push back our enemies; only in your name can we trample our foes. I do not trust in my bow; I do not count on my sword to save me. You are the one who gives us victory over our enemies; you disgrace those who hate us.

National Day of Prayer and repentance....
So awesome, and so needful! For the sake of our nation and ourselves, we must repent. In particular, I must repent.
The event itself was simulcast at thereturn.org, but there may be other resources there for continued encouragement and help. Pray for our nation!

I understand. Our physical actions start with the mind and heart. This is still lust and adultery. God has been speaking to me in this area too more lately. I sometimes get “self-righteous” temptations like “I did do I didn’t watch” but the lust and adultery still happened inside so it’s still as if I did do and watch. God can watch and clean us but at the same time we can’t make light of sin or joke about it. It is the reason many are suffering in hell right now.
