Hi Jake, I was reading Romans and it was very helpful for me. It says we have died with Christ so sin no longer reigns in us. Romans 6.

Thanks Dominic. Tonight was not good. Keep lying to myself. Keep thinking I will start fresh the New Year. All lies. I know what to do. More time with the Lord and His word. Romans is a good book to focus on.

Amen! Romans is a great place to focus on.
I am going to suggest that you consider the book that I am now halfway through, "Victory in Spiritual Warfare" by Pastor Tony Evans. $12.66 on Amazon. You already know my history - do OK for 2-3 weeks then fall flat on my face.
The portion of this book I have read is now heavily marked up and underlined.... about 1/3 of each page is marked up by me!
No deep theology here, but Pastor Evans definitely goes deep. He used to be chaplain for the Dallas Cowboys (his son Jonathan now fills that post), and it's amazing how much spiritual truth there is for us in the game of football!
So now I begin the study of the last piece of armor, the sword of the Spirit. I must move on from always being on the defensive to waging war for victory! No team can succeed without a good offense, right?

Hi JJ! Sorry to hear about recent problems. I remember how you have been so strong and such a blessing to us other guys on here when we were really struggling. Keep going bro! I was in the same spot a few months ago. Cutting out all audiovisual entertainment - basically using the laptop for entertainment and reading instead - has been blessing me in the last few. God bless you! Jesus is bigger than your problem and I believe He will ultimately see you victorious so that you shall not be ashamed at His return!

So January was not good. Learned somethings. Absolutely No porn is good for me. I tried out some other perspectives and it didn't work out. I will always abuse porn. I will always take it to the next level.
