Sadly another bad night. After crashing so close together my returning and confessing to the Lord seems less sincere cause I know when the temptation comes I should run to Him first not come crawling out of the mire after.

Jake, it's time for you to strengthen yourself for the battle. You need to be armoring yourself with scripture, prayer and worship. It sounds like you maybe neglecting this. You can do this with the Lord's help.

Your absolutely right Amy. God has been calling me to spend time with Him but I have been half hearted about it and it is costing me. Have picked up a devotion in Bible app as Dominic has suggested on lust and started it today.

I still read and listen to my recovery books. It's what other guys (who have gone before me) gave to me.  Praying for you and please pray for all of us too here. We need each other and we can beat this with Jesus and with each other's prayers and support. |

I have a few books and audio books I would like to share with a lot of people but due to copyright issues and convictions, I can't. I wish I could give the audio books freely to you but I can only share I got them and hopefully you can purchase it yourself. I guess some sites have options to purchase as a gift but I'm not how that works yet. I might look into that option.

here are some books
For Understanding what we have done to our wives ......this book is really good.
For Understanding what women (like men) go through and how we should not lust after them (some of are just like us and suffer)
All of books have Audio Books and yon can buy them on Amazon or Aubile. I bought them and listen to it. I am often alone and these have been very helpful. It's how I feel connected and changed to my fellow brothers and sisters who need help. These are just supplemental to the Holy Bible.
There is a small fear I have of taking other man's/women's view or interpretation above scriptures and we have to test it and put God's Word first. If you find something against scripture, keep the scripture and disregard what you heard. I didn't find anything wrong in these books but don't take my word for it. |

Not been a good month. Still giving in. Have a confusing battle going on. I know it is because I am half hearted in seeking the Lord and spending time in His Word.
I have Every Man's Battle and I believe Every Man's Marriage. I have a ton of books that I have collected over the years on all kinds of spiritual issues.

I had to take a break from the internet for a prolonged period of time. Sometimes what enables us to sin needs to be taken away. Good job on getting rid of something that enables you to sin.

Not a good start to November. Yesterday day was looking and watching stuff I shouldn’t be. No self pleasuring but wanted to. Disgusted with myself. Need to man up and stay consistent with the Lord!!

just make a change, ask Jesus for what He wants you to do, ask God for willingness. We all have to.
