Good days, thanks to God!
Remembering what God has done...…..
Ephesians 2:1-7 (NIV) As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Thank you Jesus!

A blessed day in the house of the Lord!
Psalm 119 1st section (Alef)
How happy are those whose way is blameless, who live according to the Lord’s instruction! Happy are those who keep His decrees and seek Him with all their heart. They do nothing wrong; they follow His ways. You have commanded that Your precepts be diligently kept. If only my ways were committed to keeping Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed when I think about all Your commands. I will praise You with a sincere heart when I learn Your righteous judgments. I will keep Your statutes; never abandon me.

Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
1 John 3:24 ESV

Amen. The commandment I strive to keep is what Job said which is "I have made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a women"
Jesus also said, "Whoever looks at a women to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart" and "if your eye causes you to sin gouge it out and throw it away for it would be better that one of the members of your body perish than for your whole body to be thrown in hell"
These are the commandments of the Lord I want to follow. Not just for today but all my days. What about you?

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Acts 2:28 (ESV)
You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’

One of the greatest supports to me in recent days has been the promise of 1 Cor 10:13. If there's nowhere that I "have" to be, I can start in on the next thing I need to do. If I lack something, God will be glad to show me if I ask Him!
1 Corinthians 10:13 (ESV) No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

"With man it is impossible but not with God. For all things are possible with God."

My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.”

I need to learn to lay hold on God in prayer.... especially in view of the fact that what I am asking for is totally, absolutely, His will for me.
1 John 5:14-15 New Living Translation (NLT)
And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death encompassed me; the torrents of destruction assailed me; the cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
-Psalm 18:1-5 ESV

Monday! It was good to be in the house of the Lord yesterday.
Isaiah 26:3-4 (ESV)
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD God is an everlasting rock.

Another Monday already!
From Sunday's sermon - Sardis. An apostate church yet there were true believers there. They were encouraged to stay faithful.
"Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels." Rev. 3:4-5 ESV
As those who have been forgiven, may we also conquer!
