Matthew 7:24-27 (ESV) “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
Jesus closes his long sermon with this illustration. The storms WILL come - no doubts about that. This is how we're to be ready. And how our house will still be standing when they pass.

Thanks to God for a busy and good day!
Eage fights snake: //www.ultrakulture.com/2015/10/11/eagle-vs-snake-take-your-fight-into-the-spiritual-realm/
In case the link does not work, this is the text copied:
The Eagle does not fight the snake on the ground.
It picks it up into the sky and changes the battle ground, and then it releases the snake into the sky.
The snake has no stamina, no power and no balance in the air. It is useless, weak and vulnerable unlike on the ground where it is powerful wise and deadly.
Take your fight into the spiritual realm by praying and when you are in the spiritual realm God takes over your battles.
Don’t fight the enemy in his comfort zone, change the battle grounds like the Eagle and let God take charge through your earnest prayer.
You’ll be assured of clean victory.

And so, how do I take the battle away from Satan's turf and into the air, where he has no power? (Your thoughts welcome here!)
For example, Satan had Jesus in a condition of extreme physical weakness and hunger. And it was true. "If you're the Son of God, command these stones to become bread."
Jesus could have left the focus on that intense physical need, or even craving. But he lifted the whole discussion to a totally different kind of bread!

You have to keep your focus on God and His will for you, His blessings and rewards. You take the battle into the third heaven and let God take over. God wins every battle we let Him take over.

Saved, I just came across this and thought you might glean something from it. It's a pdf 8 pages long. It really turns your thinking around about who we are according to Christ and sin in our lives. What we are in Christ

Another beautiful day!
Titus 2:11-14 New Living Translation (NLT)
For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

I pour out my complaint before him; I tell my trouble before him. When my spirit faints within me, you know my way!

The holidays are an incredibly busy time! I pray that everyone is doing well.
In Psalm 18, David celebrates God's help against powerful physical enemies. Ours are the spiritual forces of evil that Paul speaks of in Ephesians ch 6.
Applying that to David's victory in Psalm 18, I find great help!
In the first 6 verses, he begins to describe this battle, and to Whom he turned for strength...
1 I love you, Lord, my strength. 2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. 3 I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I was saved from my enemies. 4 The ropes of death were wrapped around me; the torrents of destruction terrified me. 5 The ropes of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me. 6 I called to the Lord in my distress, and I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.

Doing well, thanks to God! Life has been a little crazy these days, and I guess it's the same for everyone else too.

Yes it has been busy. But it is good as long as I don't neglect my time with God.

Psalm 28:6-7 New Living Translation (NLT)
Praise the LORD! For he has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
AMEN
