Although I have gone to it often, God used Psalm 103 to be a wonderful encouragement to me this AM.
Thank you Jesus!

1 Peter 5:6-9 English Standard Version (ESV)
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
Giving in to worry gives Satan a foothold. I must give all of that to Jesus, being sober-minded and watchful.

Monday!
"So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
-Deut. 31:6 NLT

2 Timothy 1:7 King James Version (KJV)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Because I am a follower of Christ, this is God's gift to me!

Isaiah 55:6-7 (ESV) 6 “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; 7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
THANK YOU JESUS!

Thank you!
God is definitely at work, even though I failed again. This time I lasted almost a month... longest in quite a while.

Anytime I've had a long period of victory - and this last one was long for me - getting up again is super-hard.
Today has been rocky but a good day. Jesus wants me to remember that he is on my side, not just up there waiting for me to fail.
There are times I- need to push forward with the task at hand - finding that way of escape that God promises.
James 4:7 King James Version (KJV) 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
This promise is totally and absolutely true. I must rest all my weight on it and claim it as often as needed.

The Bible verses I post, and others I write in my journal, are literally my life. A casual observer could wonder that I seem to know so many, and still fail and fall. But I would have to respond, where would I be without them??
Proverbs 18:10 and Psalm 46:1 both speak of the same place - a quiet place of refuge from the storm. A place of safety. A place where I can quiet my heart, find peace, and be totally safe. I need to learn about that place!
