Will, you will overcome this sin addiction. Your attitude on here shows this. Do not give up. Keep going to God and remain humble and repentant.

Hey guys,
well got to two weeks and three days, beating the best record so far for this year. But unfortunately ended up looking at porn again the Saturday before last, that was a big disappointment. Am back on the wagon again now, but boy is it difficult staring up that big hill. I think my problem is an entitlement mentality where somehow think I 'deserve' better than what I am getting. If I can keep in mind that as a sinner, I deserve much much worse than I am getting, that is the humility (as you said Amy) that might help me get clean. Need to work on being content with what I have, and think about the future not the past.

Welcome back Will . I use this verse for comfort but not an excuse. Proverbs 24:16 KJV [16] For a just man fallest seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Will keep your focus on placing one foot in front of the other. Do Not look at the hill. Stay focused on each battle. Looking at the hill is a way to get you discouraged and get you to give up. Keep going.

Hey guys!
Long time no see. You're right Amy, I did get quite discouraged. It was a big fall really. Thank God seem to be back on the right track now.
Really struggling today with finding a good Christian Assembly to attend. The Assembly where I am a member has a new Pastor who I just don't believe in and really feel in the Spirit that I shouldn't be sitting under the teaching of. But there's not much else on offer!
Praying that the Lord will guide me into the right fellowship today.
God bless you all

Hey Will... I think most people have the issue of not being content with what they have... its a human struggle...
It has a positive and a negative side affect. Positive .. it keeps you motivated to strive for more climb higher reach farther.. achieve the un achievable.
But then the negative... never happy , never satisfied, never content, constant struggle, selfishness... etc the list goes on...
Hmmmmm... what to do ... what to do?
you seem like such a nice guy and you can tell your battle really bothers you. Its good how you continue to work hard against the enemy's temptation.
I know none of us are perfect and its a struggle everyday just to keep life together.. then add in a addiction.. shewww tough!
But i know when you get your mind set to it.. you will accomplish what you want and beat this demon. You definitely keep yourself fighting it and that makes you a good son of god. Just hang in their. Keep your eye on satan he is a sneak devil. I am beleiving that you can do this! One day you will be free and all will be well.
Keep up the good work friend! Prayers... Hugs!

You are always in my prayers. Have a plan in place of things to do when you are tempted.

Hey guys. Long time no see! Thought I would say hi. The Lord has blessed me to get to 3 weeks clean! That is a record for this year and am very happy about it. More than anything it was reading this description of the Passover: www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word.html?ID=8617Not 100% sure why this helped me. Something to do with the reality of Christ's blood setting us free (and the sentence quoted as being good for deliverance has helped as well, have been repeating it to myself). Of course its a long way from being where I would like to be, only 3 weeks! But it is a blessed breakthrough nevertheless. The enemy has tried a few things to try to deceive and distract me, but thankfully God has given me the strength, for the few moments of temptation it took, not to succumb and to keep going for Jesus. Praise God! Hope you are all well and things are going good with you Will

Will, I have been wondering how you were doing. PTL! 3 weeks! Don't belittle the break through God has given you. Remember your success is God's doing. So don't hold back your praise and give Him the glory. When we start thinking that our success is because of us, that's when we will fall...Pride is a fickle thing.

Yes you are totally right about pride. Am coming to believe it is my worst sin, perhaps the worst of all. Am going to fast this weekend and pray it doesn't get me!
