Hey Dominic, in all honesty bro I think I should tell you that you should really draw a line under the serial killer stuff. And consider it an addiction as bad as porn. The Word says to 'set no wicked thing before your eyes'. It's really not good. Games, Fortnite is one thing, but morbid etc is a real problem. If Fortnite is leading you there, then it's time to let Fortnite go. If your right arm offends you, cut it off. I've done a lot of soul-searching about certain interests like movies that the Lord has shown me have been gateways to pornography, and have had to just cut them out of my life. This may not be permanent, but long enough to break the cycle/ connection/ idolatry, etc. Find safe interests. Sports watching for me is a safe one. Watching Rugby League or 'Soccer' etc. Not the world's most productive activity, but it doesn't lead to porn, so that's safe for me. And can be a blessing as it provides a safe 'relaxing' time. Chess is probably a bit worse but still it's not overtly a 'wicked thing' to set before my eyes. I would recommend finding more stuff like that, that you could watch/ engage in forever and wouldn't lead you to either porn or other evil things. Sorry to be so harsh bro, but think this is important. God bless you!

I know what your saying. I'm not upset. I do consider the serial killer documentaries pretty bad. I'm not watching them right now and hopefully will not be interested in watching them later. Fortnite lead to idolatry for me. Any game will or hobbie will. I have to be careful. Today, I was thinking of a lot of verses that really spoke to me and I will share later. Thanks Will. I know you mean well.

Great stuff Dominic! I know how hard it is, easy to say, hard to put into practice, but worth it.
Just checking in. Boy I am under ATTACK at the moment! The enemy is NOT happy that I'm staying away from his temptations! Getting all kinds of strange dream attacks and difficult circumstances happening out of nowhere. Praying to stay strong!

Praying! Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world!
Look closely at the lion in that picture. He's not roaring, not even showing his teeth. He's just there. Satan don't even think about messing with him.

Hey folks, had a major close call last night and this morning. For some reason was 'sailing close to the wind', like watching films that I know have nude scenes, but pausing them just before the nude scenes come on. How weird is that? Mercifully didn't actually watch any, and stayed above my bar for resetting my sobriety date (that is nudity). Praise God for that!! God is so merciful. The enemy attacks my Saturday like crazy. Heard a sermon about the Jezebel spirit recently (by Robert Morris of Gateway, Dallas, amazing communicator) that said that the Jezebel spirit's main aim is to 'disqualify men for leadership in the Church'. That is so true. The enemy uses that spirit (and surely porn is massively powered by it) to try to bring down men from their position as legitimate leaders. Wonder if that's why Saturday is so difficult for me - the enemy doesn't want me to make it to Church on Sunday. But I made it, thank God, and heard the best sermon I've ever heard our Pastor preach. The simple Gospel of Jesus Christ. We're saved by His blood. It's all grace. Grace is always better than the best of our works and achievements. However good they are (including sobriety from sexual sin!) it's only grace that saves us, bought by the blood of Jesus, who alone has no sin so can afford to purchase our salvation. We sang the awesome hymn "Saved by the blood of the crucified one". : )

That is good brother. I recall a scritpure that the devil left Jesus to tempt him at an opportune time. I think my opportune time is all the time but specifically at work now, because some women are there and always happy which is a trigger for me to "ask them some questions" and that is like an opportune time. Another one is movies yes, we watched a matrix movie and had a s-x scence and my daughter was there and it was my first time and at first second I turned off the TV and skipped the chapter. She closed her eyes and I explained that is not good, but only married people kiss and hug, do not do that and don't let some nasty boy trick you into that. She is 9 only. My wife was there cooking too. Sick world man. Can't even watch an action and I probably didn't see the movie rating. I'm glad you made it to church.
It's a shame that sexual sins are present and really really magnified for the Christians leaders, I mean, rightly so, but it shows that they are really targeted and have to be very careful. So many "pastors" or "leaders" have fallen from their positions. They think "I'm OK to one-on-one counsel this hurting wife" or "it's ok to ask these women very sexual matters" and it's starting to fall from there. Sadly, it went both ways and Satan used the man and the women to fall. Unless it was a rape, but I'm not trying to burn anyone here, just saying that the devil is after our hearts, the people in the fellowships (pastors and wifes) to make them fall down. I can't and will not counsel or talk to a women like that, I know it's a turn on, despite the desire to "minister" which will be corrupted by me. I'm too sick. I think Pastors need to minister with their wife present in the room if he is to speak with a women. Or the women go to the Pastors wife. Too much temptations to fall. There is a scripture that says "becareful if you think you are standing, lest you fall".
Dear God please give the leaders wisdom and please help them not to fall and be accountable, please help women to understand this in the church too. In Jesus' name. Amen.

It’s an everyday day battle. But we already won in Christ! We just need to walk it. One day at a time. Preaching to myself. Let’s press on brother!
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:31-39 - ESV
