Congrats on one full week accomplished. Your post reminds me of the parables: the Pharisee and the tax collector. Luke 18:10-13.

Thank you. Lord Jesus Christ son of God have mercy on me a sinner is a prayer that I pray especially when I am 'stuck' and do not not know how or what to pray.

Hey Guys,
A heads up. I am taking a short trip to visit my son so I may not check in or post for a few days. All is well and all shall be well and you shall all be in my prayers.
Rick

Hi Rick. Have a good time visiting your son. Be well and be blessed. Do not neglect God while you are visiting. That can lead to a relapse. Enjoy!

Hi All,
Still sober, although it has been a struggle. I allowed my trip away and subsequent sickness to disrupt my routine and discipline so no ND scoring, that is not to say I gave up on it completely but in absolute honesty my heart was not in it.
I have observed that I 'transfer' behaviour, because I have not given in to P & M, I have been spending hours playing computer games or on-line window shopping, merely swapping one negative behaviour for another. I would much rather play games than look at P, however that is not a solution. It merely tells me that there is a long way to go and that everyday brings grace but also risk and therefore choices and it is by our choices that we either submit and obey and stand in our weakness or indulge the flesh and fall through our pride.
May the blessing of the Lord be with us all this Easter.
Rick

Hi Rick, it is so nice to hear from you! Yes transferring behavior is a problem for us addicts. We get rid of one addiction and pick up another. It is so easy to do. We will constantly have to be on guard for that and will constantly have to rely on Christ to guide, encourage, convict, and love us through our weakness.

Yeah, I will pray for you, right now, as soon as I finish this note. I know how depressing that is, but please try and believe that God knows your heart. He knows you want to be free, and I believe He judges us on a curve. I know that may seem silly to some, but when I look at my life, and how difficult some things are for me, and how easy they appear to others, I can only believe that God knows the extent of my trials, and the degree to which I have to fight. I believe God also knows where I started from, and how far I've come, no matter what it looks like to others. You and I both know that Jesus died for your sin. You and I both know that God forgives you, and that your sin is removed from you "as far as the east is from the west", right? Well, if our perfect, holy Father in heaven thinks it's ok to forgive you, I guess it stands to reason that it's ok to forgive yourself, yes? Makes sense, right? Keep your chin up, bro. God's plan is to deliver you from this affliction. Make you totally free. Wipe it from your life. You have His Word on that! That's His promise. It's coming!! Whoopee and Halleluiah!!
