Curly, you did the right thing. It hurts like the dickens but the Lord is there with you offering you comfort and strength while you grieve.
Often times in situations like this, it is best to make a complete and clean break from him. Trying to stay friends will only prolong and make the pain worse. Plus it may weaken your resolve to stay out of a relationship with him. My advice to you would be to get all your stuff out of his place and not have any contact with him unail you have worked through your grief and are stronger.
