My Father,
You are the creator of everything. All breathing creatures were made at your command. You alone hold the power over life and death. With you Lord I need not be afraid for the powers of darkness may rage and rear up against us we are protected beneath the shadow of your wings. Father nothing escapes your sight and you know all things. Sickness and disease may plague a man's body but it can not destroy his soul. Father as I pray and pour out my heart to you, I am afraid. I am terrified by all that is happening. We had hopes that mom would get better and now the reality is that she may never get better. Her mind is slowly slipping away and the mother I once knew is disappearing. Father I want to help but feel confused and helpless. Somehow I feel unable to care for a mother that has always been there for me. Lord I don't know what to do. I know not who to call for help. I'm grateful for those Lord that have helped and I know that you will reward each in his own way. Father this is so much bigger than I. I need someone who is bigger than anything that I may face. That someone is you. I need you Lord. I need you to strengthen me where I am weak so that I may be strong for Carole. She has lived her life and now her time of rest is rapidly approaching. Help me Lord to get her the proper care. Open the doors that remain locked today. Guide us along the right path so that we may know what to do. Soften her brother Edward's heart and open his ears that he May hear. Open his mind so that he may understand that this IS happening and that we NEED his help in all of this. Forgive us for waiting So long and for our ignorance in this matter. Allow us to become wise in understanding. Allow us to gain knowledge of what is right. Forgive us the words said in anger, hurt or pain. Forgive our impurities and selfishness. Forgive my timidity and my fear. Take away all doubt and unbelief. Help me not to run away, but to run towards. Wipe away the tears from my eyes and the pain within my heart. May those around me be sympathetic and compassionate. I want to thank you Lord for what you've done thus far and for what you are going to do and are doing. May the kingdom continue to grow with or without me. Soften my heart towards those that are truly lost. While I may feel abandonment, surely you are never far off my Savior. This is my prayer and petition in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Timothy had timidity yet he had the heart of God. Tears don't make you weak, in fact the opposite. Surely this is a great prayer & concept (DPJ) & you have opened up - again. Thank You, I know it is a challenge - but you're doing good - can't fault it - may God grant all your petitions and give you Peace.  |

I love this idea John. And as Steve said, thank you for opening up and sharing what is truly in your heart.
Lord, I come along side my brother John and I lift his mother and his petions up to you once more. Give him the strength he needs and the courage to continue this journey. Open the right doors so that he and his family are able to get the knowledge and help they need to take care of this wonderful woman. Father most of all I ask that you give them peace during this uncertain time. Thank you Lord for allowing us to be there for each other in prayer and in spirit. Thank you for bringing us together as a community and family. Thank you for opening up John's heart. We would have hated to lose him as a friend and family member. In Christ's Holy name I pray.

Father,
You are the Great Protector and Wonderful Shepherd. My prayer is for you to watch over my family when I am unable to be there. Let nothing happen to them while I am gone. Thank you for the job that I have and the people I work for. I praise you Lord for their understanding and sympathy. Bless each of them in your special way Father. Forgive me for missing out on your service this morning and may I be able to share in your fellowship later. Forgive me also for not drawing closer to you during this trying times. My heart aches and my spirit cries out despite my laziness. May I get back to spending time with you each and every day. I praise you for my friends and all those you have given to me. May We grow closer during this time. I love you Lord and I pray all this in the name of your son Jesus. Amen.

Sorry guys I'm a little bit behind on my prayers. I'd say about two days. Monday and now Tuesday. So bear with me as I write and pray. Let's worship!
My Father,
You are the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS. Nothing can close what You open and nothing can open what You close. May my heart ever praise you for what you have done in my life. What you have done is beyond thinking. My mind is unable to grasp it's entirety. I get overwhelmed by just a small preview of your goodness. Words come to my mind but my heart knows that this is far to small of praise for the one who is able to stir hearts that have been hardened for many years. Humbleness speaks in ways that words cannot.
Father thank you for opening my uncle's heart. We have not talked in over ten years. Bitterness, hatred, and anger had crept into both of our hearts and destroyed whatever relationship we were meant to have. You softened my heart and gave me the courage to make the first move. His rebuke was harsh and I endured it with your help. In the end he opened his heart and we now have a working relationship. Strengthen it Father as only You can. Help us to get the best care for Carole (his sister, my mother). Show him the truth and may he accept it. Let us work together for her best interest. Keep my heart soft and humble and may I never stiffen my neck in rebellion. Open his ears to truly hear all that the doctors are saying and those that care for her are speaking. May all be revealed and let nothing be hidden. Let the consequences of long time sin come to light. Both mine and his. No more secrets Lord. We can't afford them anymore. This is my prayer in the name of your one and only son Jesus. Amen.

Our Father in Heaven,
In six days YOU created all that there was to create. The Word was with YOU in the beginning and light was formed. Everthing was made through the Word, by the Word, and for the Word. After all that creation You rested. Today Lord was a day of rest for us. Rest from the chaotic past couple of days. Rest from all the drama of hospitals, doctors, nurses, and professionals. Today was a day dedicated to her and her needs. I cast aside all else and spent the day with Mother. It was a day to cherish forever and I thank you for this opportunity. Nothing special was planned and there was no great excitement. But to her it was special. Lord I thank you for making today possible. To you be the glory and praise. I sought no reward for what I did and I pray that my heart was pure in all my undertaking of today. I want to thank you for being able to talk to a special friend yesterday if only briefly. It meant the world to me to be able to share some good news with her. So much of what's going on is bad news and quite painful to bear. I pray for her Lord that she may find encouragement in the little things of life. Thank you for the beauty that surrounds us like last night's sunset. I'm so grateful to have been able to see the work of your hands Father. Please keep creating and please continue to display your glory in this world. In just a short while you will provide our family with the miracle of birth and the joy of a new member of our small family being born. May she be surrounded by love and from the beginning may her heart gravitate towards you. I pray that like her sister she may be loving and kind and do great things for you Lord. Bless this small family Lord in Your mercy and grace. Keep us together forever and forever worship YOU. I pray this all to you my Savior. Amen.

Father,
As I sit over breakfast and look out and witness this glorious sunrise a song comes to my mind. "Hail Hail Lion of Judah". In the song it talks about how wonderful and how powerful you are. Truly that is on display this morning. The sky is a beautiful displayed masterpiece that only you can create. Thank you for the opportunity to witness this event firsthand. Father I know that you'll be with me today, watching over me and my family. You are ever present in my life and may my life today reflect your glory. Let my life shine bright this morning as I prepare for my day. I'm a little apprehensive about going back to work but with YOU by my side it will be ok and more than ok. Today in our world it's Veterans Day. My father loved this day and was so proud of his service. May we stop today and think about where we are today because of all those who gave yesterday. Thank you for each and every one of them Lord. Thank you for the freedom we all partake in. May we never take it for granted and always be willing to protect it. Amen.

Good morning one and all. Let's pray.
Our Father in Heaven,
You are my Rock and my Redeemer. You are the solid ground beneath my feet. Nothing in this world can shake you or remove you from your position. You are our Father and Sovereign over all. Father as you know my life recently has been filled with drama, while at the same time many blessings have occurred. I will forever praise you for both events because the blessings may not have happened without the suffering. You have poured out mercy and love on this family above and beyond our due. We are unworthy servants that you have chosen to love and cherish. Being overwhelmed seems to sum up the essence of my life right now. Please bless my sister and help her to overcome her fears and confusion. Take away the anger in her heart and fill it with love. Protect our time together and need to interact. My we come together to love and support one another. Please watch over my daughter as her time of delivery draws near. We anxiously wait the arrival of Baby Iva and look forward to this new addition and miracle of life. Smooth the rough edges of our lives Lord and calm the raging waters. Today is another day to honor you. Thank you for all that transpired yesterday and how you put people in my path and your spirit in the hearts of men. I love you Lord. Amen.

Our Heavenly Father,
This morning my heart turns to the Psalms. Those wonderful songs of praise to You. After yesterday's overcast and cloudy ski it's nice to see the Sun in the sky and some bright color. The cold season is upon us and many are bundled up rushing from one warm place to another and in the midst of all this is your splendor and beauty. In Psalms 118:24 the psalmist praises you for the day no matter what day he might be having. Do let my heart be like this Lord. So many things are happening in my life right now that it is easy to loose focus and take my eyes off YOU. Forgive my sinful nature Lord and blot out my transgressions. Heal the areas of my heart that are broken. Take my life into your hands and make me a glorifying instrument in your hands. Thank you Lord for your generously pouring out love and blessings in my life. Big things or small YOU are there keeping watch over me. Thank you for providing last minute daycare for Lilly as we took a tour of the labor and delivery ward. Thank you further for my conversation with Amy. It was both wonderful and scary at the same time. Guard our hearts as our friendship grows. Keep our conversation pure and spiritual. We may not always agree but I hope that we may always honor and glorify YOU in our conversation. Help me to lead and truly be a man of God. Take away my fears and insecurity. Bless this day and the work that I need to undertake. Give me wisdom and strength to endure. Amen

Heavenly Father,
Yesterday I took some time and thought about all the relationships you have given me. Were I to try and name each person, I know that there would be many that I would miss. The sheer volume of it all is overwhelming. Thank you for each and every person who has ever come into my life. In big or small ways they have impacted my life and I'm grateful for the time we shared. In just a few short days Lord the world will have a chance to celebrate Thanksgiving. It is my prayer that this celebration bring much happiness and joy to everyone and glory to You oh Lord. As we gather together I pray that we will PAUSE and reflect on all that we have to be thankful for. Some have much while others have little. Let's put aside the amounts and be truly grateful that we have. Father above all that we have YOU. YOU alone are all we need, all we can hope for. Lord thank you for working So powerfully in our world. Thank you for opening doors and giving us opportunity. May we make the most of it. This is my morning prayer in the name of Christ. Amen.

Been four days behind. Not because I don't have anything to say, but the fact is I don't have internet access at home and been to sick to get out and write. I did type my proposal up and got it signed off on. So now to mail it and wait and hope. Please pray for this and for yourselves. Love all of you so much.

UPDATE: I am so far behind on my daily prayer. Reason is that for the last week I've been on vacation. I was and am sick and don't feel like walking to the local restaurant for free WiFi. So I only post when I have the opportunity. Forgive me for having the desire but not the means.
Father in heaven.
It has been a roller coaster ride this past week. So many things have happened both good and bad. I praise you for all of it because it has made me stronger and at the same time more vulnerable. Father you have taught me so much this week about family. What a family does and how it is supposed to function. I'm grateful for my church family and need to be more dependant upon them for more than just spiritual needs. Help me to overcome my pride in seeing that the church can help meet some physical needs as well. Humble my heart and open my mouth to ask for help. Move hearts like you move the clouds Lord and may all that is supposed to happen happen. Take away my fear and doubt. Increase my faith in the one who makes the impossible possible. You alone Lord are omnipresent. You alone know the beginning and the end of all things. You are bigger than the thunderstorm. Louder than the thunder, brighter than the lightening. May faith reign in my heart and righteousness rule over my choices. Forgive my wanderings and my unfaithfulness. Let me rise again from the ashes of my sin. Let my example serve to teach others of your mercy and grace. This is my prayer in the name of your son. Amen.
