Daily Prayer Journal

Dearest Father,
With the words of my mouth I've hurt some one I care deeply about. Because of My words she is shedding tears in earnestness to you. A wave of emotions and pain has washed over her and she is drowning Lord. I call upon you Father to save her, for I've proven that I am not capable at this time. Lord she means more to me than I'm able to admit at times. Help her to see that my heart is true and that the words I say are in no way meant to hurt her. I long to hear her laugh and often try to lift her spirits without thinking things through. Forgive me Lord for the mess I caused. Forgive me for dumping it into your lap to handle and fix. I don't know what else to do. Things are so broken between us that only you can heal her broken heart and spirit. Show her how much she is really loved and how beautiful she really is. She doesn't need anymore than what you have instilled within her. She is perfect in every way Lord because she is your daughter. Let no man take that away from her. Not me not anyone. Lord lift her up because she was brought low by my words. Forgive me. Amen.

I pray over my thoughts, spirit, soul and body daily. It really helps.

Father,
There is an old saying,"Be careful what you pray for because you just might get it." Today I am reminded of a prayer for Humbleness and Brokenness and both have begun. I have suffered a great loss at the working of my hands. For great was my sin and insecurity that became the arrows that pierced the heart. Words spoken in lust and passion caused great harm because there was no self control nor godly wisdom that can only come from a man who walks closely with his God. My failure to stay close to you is my downfall and great is your sorrow in what I have done for in my sin I caused "one of these little ones Who believe in You to stumble." I am deserving of a millstone be tied to my neck and drowned in the sea. How can I ask for forgiveness of so great a sin? Is forgiveness even possible for such an offense? Lord I do not know, I just don't know. I keep praying for an answer and an answer I do not have. Continue to work on me. Increase my righteous anger and integrity. Let nothing overtake my desire to rid myself of this infliction. Create alarm and earnestness for recovery within me. Allow me to draw closer to You now than ever before. Let not my guilt and shame drive me from You. Forgive Lord forgive me.

Father in Heaven,
As I sit listening to Christian worship songs, it is like a trip down memory lane. As each song is played, I remember where I was when I first heard it. Thank you Lord for such wonderful memories. Today Father I have felt diffrently about being single. As I read Paul's advice to the churches I began to see the incredible opportunity I have been given to advance the kingdom by being single. I have nothing holding me back except me and once I am able to master that no telling how far I can go. I thank you Lord for using me just as you are. I thank you for the role I've been given in this life and how I get to wear so many different hats. I can talk with you, laugh with you, cry with you, and fight alongside you. Lord I need you. This is so true as I look back over things and it's easy to get discouraged by the number of times I've failed. Yet in looking back over the failures I also see how many times I've gotten back up and started over. Not knowing how I was going to fix things I trusted that you would help me. I had faith that you still loved me. Despite my feelings at the time my deep knowledge of your goodness kept me going. I'm so grateful, so appreciative, so humbled by who you are and what you have done. Thank you Lord. Thank you for taking me back. Restoration: what a word. What a gift! May I always always remember how precious is that gift you held out to me. PRAISE be to You. Amen.

Everlasting Father,
I PRAISE your name with voice lifted in cheerful song. You have made my troubles and sorrows melt away like the winter snow. Many are the distractions in the world and many a man have fallen victim to The world's idea of pleasure. I too used to go with the crowd giving in to every idea and whim. That was until I found you or rather you found me and brought me back to my senses. You loved me and cleaned me from the filth that I not only was living in but ingesting into my body. Father forgive me for ever going there and forgive me for when I choose to pay that dreaded place a visit. Heal my broken heart dear savior and repair the holes that you find in my life.
Father like all humans I crave companionship and long to be loved. Until the proper time let me be patient and wait upon you. Take away my bitterness and the embarrassment that I feel having a status of singlehood. Let me glorify you in this opportunity that you have provided. Let me be valuable to you oh Lord and commit my will to yours and enjoy doing things that are worthwhile. Let me see how much you love me. May I hear it in the voices of my brothers and sisters when we talk. May I hear your words spoken to me by those you have appointed over me to lead me spiritually. Give them willing hearts to hear and obey your word as they teach us. Help them to properly handle the Word of God that has been entrusted to them. Forgive them their sins Lord so that they may be clear headed to teach and preach. Give us all a desire for seeking and saving those that are lost in sin. Help US to guide them back to you. In Jesus' name I pray these things. Amen.
