Surgeon said my wrist is healing well. He gave the ok for me to be out of my brace at home during the day as long as I am not doing anything strenuous. He also said that the physical therapist could add in some strength building exercises. So far we have been just working on getting movement back. It's amazing how quickly muscles lose elasticity.

Boy, the trolls have been trying hard to get access to the forums lately. Thankfully I can head them off before they gain entry.
I am doing ok. Gaining strength in my hand and using my wrist more. I need to see my family doc again because my gut is still giving me trouble. With all the appts lately, I haven't had time to see him.
Praying for everyone. Stay strong in Christ and have a truly free day!

Love getting up at 3 a.m. because my gut is acting up. It's going to be a multiple pot of coffee day.
A little worried. Mom is having issues this morning with getting her breath but the oxygen meter says she is fine, which means her heart is acting up. She won't go to the hospital. We did see her heart doc yesterday and everything looked fine.
I have busy day ahead. Physical therapy and spending some time with my sister. She wants to do some thrift shopping. We both need clothes due to weight loss.

Dear Jesus, please give fresh good heart health to Amy's mother. Thank you for the help of Amy and her Doctor. Please also let Amy and her sister find good clothes and thank you for their sisterhood. Thank you for being the God who supplies all our needs. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
'Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. 'Isaiah 41:10

I am doing ok. Getting ready for my last appt with the surgeon. I am done with physical therapy. Now I need to make an appt to see my doc in Omaha to get my intestines straightened out. Hopefully sometime next week. This week is pretty busy.
Well I have to go need to finish getting ready. I will post more later.

Surgeon has released me. Both fractures have healed. I just need to keep working on strengthening my wrist and continue with stretching. It is still sore and stiff throughout the day. That will go away with time along with the pain I get when putting weight on it.
I am having difficulty with having a servant heart and not getting weighed down with being a caretaker. I don't know how parents with young children do it. I find myself grumbling just taking care of mom. Since my wrist is better, things have reverted back to me doing everything. It was nice having mom help with cleaning and cooking.
I also am tired of not feeling well but still having to "bring it". I don't get to have a day off. If I don't cook, we don't eat. If I don't clean, it's twice the work the next day. If I don't shop, we end up with no food etc. It's nothing for mom to want things that take a long time to make. Like I bought a turkey and thought I would invite my sisters over for turkey and roasted veggies...by the time mom got done it was a huge thanksgiving day feast and I didn't get any help. Today she wanted fried chicken or meatloaf...I am tired and no matter how often I tell her, she doesn't get it. And of coarse these elaborate meals mean more clean up for me.

These are hard times I hope you can get some good rest. Please take it easy. Dear Lord, please heal Amy's hand and wrist. She has a lot of tasks to do. In Jesus' name.

I've been away a few days, but gladly join Dominic in praying for you. May God give you the strength you need one day at a time. Saying "no" is not easy, yet I pray that God will give you wisdom about that. Finding that difficult balance, maybe like, "I'm really tired right now; this is what we're going to do today." And gently yet firmly sticking with it. No, not easy. May God Himself give you the wisdom and strength you need.

Thank you both. We have been having issues with being sick. Colds and intestinal stuff. I have finally turned the corner thanks be to God! I had a decent night's rest after a few days of not sleeping. That helped tremendously. Mom is still fighting.
It is amazing how Satan hits you when you are weak. Was so tired that when a wrong thought entered my mind, I followed it for a few seconds before the Holy Spirit checked me and I stopped and pulled back from it and repented. Usually I stomp on them before they take hold.

Good job Amy. I hope your mom gets well soon. Keep getting the good rest you need. I understand the battle. Today, kept having them. Watched a good Christian movie called Paul. One of the newer ones. I repented too for my bad thoughts. God is good.
Dear Lord, please help Amy, and others here to keep strong with you Jesus. We trust You Lord. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
