I just read through this whole thread. Steve64. you were obviously living in my line as far as music went. Amy grant was such a role model for me, I had a chance to speak with her and so real ,no pretenses no guard by her dressing room, just welcomed me in all by myself. Told her how she seemed to write a song almost everytime I was going through something similar in my own life....for years. Found out later that I was going through the discovery of my spouses lies and addiction right about the time she was going through severe trauma and pain with Garys[her husband] secrets,lies, many addictions and so forth. Go figure.None of us are here by accident. we all affect each other in our experience,

Yeah, it was a commie that killed him. JFK was a conservative democrat and there were some in the party that didn't like that.

I'll have to read Karen's story. Eating Disorders are a lifelong addiction that can rear it's head when stress comes on. My oldest has just gotten a job and I'll be praying she doesn't get too stressed. In 2013, she was down to 98 pounds. Last year, she flipped into binging and purging. That's the scary thing about P, is that it can filter down different addictions to your children. But, then again, I chose not to drink like my father. I will barely even touch alcohol. 
But, my dot held everything in b/c she saw the tension in our marriage, the fighting and I was also very sick for 8 years after my youngest was born.  I had on surgery and then I found out I have Celiac's Disease and those two things have improved my health a lot.  I tell her she can come to me anytime and talk.
