hello brother. I have been there too. Know that Jesus Christ loves you and died on the cross for our sins. All of your sins and mine were paid for my Jesus Christ. This is how God demonstrated that He loves us. How does it make you feel? Jesus is calling you and me to repent and believe in Him. What I say to you I also say to me too.

I wish I could give you some help, but I can pray and only share the Word of God with you.

We need help physically, but also spiritually. Our sickness is a spiritual disease. Satan has programmed our minds to think that women are just objects of sex. That is a lie. Women are not and never were objects of sex. Even in a one-man-one-women-marriage, a wife is not an object of sex. It never says that in the Bible, that women are objects of sex. Never. What the Bible says about Adam was, it was good for man not to be alone that I will make him a suitable partner (helper).

This helper is not a submissive servant like a sex slave either, but an equal. Adam and Eve were equals.

In Ephesians 5, we are told "Husband love your wife as Christ loved the church" - That is the Christian standard and what our Holy God requires of us.

Now, when Satan tempted Jesus Christ (Matthew 4). Jesus was quick to reply back to Satanic lies with the Word of God. That is our defense in this spiritual battle.

Satan uses the Word of God, but leaves out things, lies, twists, misinterprets it, in order to make you sin.

For me, I believed a lie, my lie was this - "If I watch porn, masturbate, God will forgive me later, I'm good" so I acted out.

I was deceived. The Bible doesn't teach us that we can keep on sinning, and just automatically get God's forgiveness.

Also, another lie I believed - "If I watch porn, there are no consequences"

That is false. The truth is this 'the soul who sins shall die' and 'the wages of sin is death' and when we sin, our body, our mind, our will, our spirit all dies. I don't care what kind of theology people say they have, but the Bible says that.

When we sin, then repent, the demons are leaving us alone only for a while and if we are sinning, the demon goes and comes back with more demons even strong than the original demon - Jesus taught that in regards to a person who is demon possessed and is cleaned, but is tempted by strong demons.

That is also true in our case. This is a serious disease. We are under a very real, deep, Satanic spiritual attack.

Here is another truth.

If you look at Romans 1, and starting from verse 18, we see that we, at one time or another, have left God to serve the creation rather than the Creator. I interpret the creation as "anything God created" instead of God. In our case of sex addiction, the god is our sex. Whether it be your own body or theirs, we serve the Baals and Ashereth poles of sex. It's the same paganism that the Israelites were warned never to enter in, but when Joshua died, and a new generation of people came afterwards, they (Israelites) all did the abominations that were warned never to do....Nothing has changed today. We are in the same like them.

We are not just lovers of pleasure and self, but worshipping a sex god, actually it's a demon of sex, because the Bible says that people who offer sacrifices to their false idols actually offer them to demons.

When we watch on the movie or magazine or internet, the sex acts of others, we are desiring to unite with them - the Bible says 'should I take the body of Christ and unite it with a prostitute?" May it never be.

And in Romans 6, 'shall we go on sinning so that grace might increase? God forbid" - Now I'm not trying to sound like I'm holy. I know I"m a wretched sinner, which is why I am trying so hard to stay close to God now and never go back, never look back at the burning Sodom and Gomorroah or else I will die.

Jesus said "anyone who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom" - Jesus wants to make you fit, Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy.

When the immoral women tempts you - look at Proverbs 5-7. You will see what you are to do. Never go near the door of her house, because her feet lead to hell.

She will tempt you. Try to ask God to give you eyes to see what God sees. You are looking at a lost soul, who is hell-bound, who refuses to follow God, but to follow money, her god is money and sex. She is using you, playing on your emotions, and natural weak man eyes in order to reduce you to nothing, until you are poor, diseased, and at the end burning in hell.

It's the same for me, if I keep on sinning.

Jesus said in John 15, unless you remain in Me, you can do nothing.

I can't do anything.

When I spoke to my Pastor a while back, about 4 1/2 years ago, he would ask me. "Are you reading your Bible?" and I was put my head down and say "no" and he would lovingly encourage me to read the Bible just 15 minutes a day." Another brother who knew my sex addiction, asked me "have you read the Bible yet?" and I answered "no" and he lovingly encouraged me to "read the Bible, 3 chapters a day and you would read the whole Bible in one year"

What are the odds that a brother and a pastor say that same exact thing to me about this, and in regards to my sexual recovery? The truth is - God's Word works, God's Word is actually God's Word to you.

There is no book, no preacher, no other resource we have today, than the Word of God.

Why?

Because in the Word of God, you WILL encounter the Living God. You will personally meet the Holy Spirit, the Son of God and our Heavenly Father, and God will bless you for it.

how?

God will make you His, He will draw you into Himself and You will be knowing who is the God who made you, wants to change you.

I'm not talking about intellectual knowledge, that will not what will work. Lots of people know Bible stories, I'm talking about something else.

What does it mean to you that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins?

Does it make you want to hate your sin and love and cling to the Lord Jesus Christ?

Ask God for that, a new heart, a new spirit, and God will give it to you.

Jesus said, "If you who are evil know who to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him"

When I hit rock bottom, I got on my face, like a broken criminal desperate, and sad, and let out my bitterness, tears, and everything. I confessed to God that I hated people, I was so in love with sin, and I was sick and needed forgiveness. I apologized to God for real and cried. It was then the Lord reminded me that the Lord is for the sinner, the Lord loved me still, even when I deserved death in hell. This was my new resolve now. To know Jesus Christ, and make Him my Lord in everything.

Everything else is connected to it.

If I'm not sober, not a true Christian, who will tell my family and lost people around me? Who will share the gospel to them? Why not you? God can make you one of His and you can help others who are also lost, to love and know Jesus Christ and it will be the power and the work of the Holy Spirit.

Surrender to Jesus, give up, and please for God's work in your heart, keep on asking, until You know that God is for you, not against you, and read the verses of warnings and love, until you are right with God.

Do not go back to the prostitutes, they are not going to heaven, but to hell, unless they repent, don't go along with.

God is able to help you learn self-control for real, not a religion but God in you, filling you with the Holy Spirit, and when you are able, it's glory to God and you will know it was of God, that kept you sober.

Please give your money to a trusted family member, and don't keep more than a few dollars for food. That is what I do. I get paid, take it all and give it to my wife, and she puts it in her back. I keep 40$ and that is all. Why 40? Because it costs 50 for my drug of sex, and I refuse to enable myself to fall.

I'm serious, after you make a commitment for Christ, the next steps are making a healthy boundary. If porn is your weakness, get off the online for a while, perhaps 6 months to a year. I'm serious, get a flip phone, get brothers numbers, and call them everyday.

With no money
With no internet

and God.... as your #1 love, your everything, you can't go wrong.

Now when you are tempted to think of lust of a women, pray for her soul, and use a Bible verse to believe and stand on, then quote it to the demons of lust and say "in the name of Jesus Christ, I command you to go, for it is written, flee sexual immorality".

Run like Joseph. and Get out.

Welcome to BG. The men here are awesome Christian men who are or have dealt with this issue as you can see in the previous posts. I too have struggled with porn and had a husband that struggled with it. I offer a different view of this sin addiction because of this.

You are among believers that understand and won't pass judgement.

We all need each other. Keep submitting to the Lord. As a slave of Jesus Christ, we are called to do that. I say to myself too. I need to submit to the Lord Jesus Christ daily. I mess up constantly.
