I have read this before, and am reading it again. Great read for a new year.

A great read for all Christians, but especially those of us struggling with strongholds.

Try thriftbooks.com they have cheap used books. Been getting most of my books from them. I don't mind that they are used and might have marks and highlights.

I'm not trying to share much of the teaching from this book, mainly trying to show that I can stick with something to the end.
I guess the main point is that we believe Satan's lies over God's truth when it comes to overcoming deep-seated patterns of sin. The book is addressed to people who are already believers and followers of Christ.

Continuing my re-read of this book.... this time with heavy marking and underlining.
Christian books are valuable only as they lead me to trust God's Word more...and this one does! Written from a pastor's heart. I must learn to use and claim what God has already given me!

Sometimes the best truths from Christian books like this one are "caught" more than "taught."
And so Pastor Lucado is teaching me to learn to look at Scripture through the eyes of faith. To learn to believe God really means what He says, and that all His promises are true... even for me!
And so as I continue to go on the Bible, I must remember to apply this!

This book is getting more and more heavily marked up, the longer I spend in it.

Continuing my re-read of this book....
Ch 12 - Pray Audacious Prayers
Of course, my prayers are to be coupled with my obedience. The point is to break out of the "I can't" mentality, "I'll never be free of this cycle so I might as well give in"..... etc etc etc. GOD is on my side.
The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.
Psalm 27:1-3 NLT
