Are you reading straight through, or reading both Old and New Testaments? Nothing wrong with either way, though I like to mix it up with old and new.
Yes, putting a verse that especially spoke to you on a card is a great idea!

I'm reading through chronologically, roughly as events would have occurred historically (to scholars' best guess), or as they would have been written. For example, since 1 and 2 Kings and 1 and 2 Chronicles tell the same history, the readings bounced back and forth between the two accounts, reading them in parallel as the story progressed. I started with Genesis 1:1 on Jan 1st and I'm currently in the early stages of the Babylonian exile (toward the end of Jeremiah, before the stories of Daniel or Esther). The reading schedule is on Bible Gateway ( www.biblegateway.com/reading-plans/). You can choose from certain translations, and if you sign up for an account (free), they'll email you a reading reminder every day with a link to the day's passage.

Asking for prayers for this weekend. My wife will be going away to a scrapbooking retreat and our son will be camping, so I will be home with plenty of opportunity for temptations. I've asked my wife to hold me accountable, and wanted to post here for the same. I appreciate everything everyone does here.

I will be praying for you. What is your plan of attack when you are tempted this weekend? You need to have a game plan firm in your mind on what to do when you are tempted.

In general, I have plenty to keep myself busy, plus I'm keeping our baby, so it's mainly the down times when she's napping or after I put her down for the night. I can text my wife if I'm feeling tempted. Whether or not she's available to talk then, I know she would be holding me accountable so that helps. The challenge is to get out in front of the temptation and text her, before it overwhelms me and I'm not thinking clearly to do so.
Any suggestions for a plan of attack to distract myself from the temptations? I suppose different things work for different people.
Thanks so much for the prayers!

Difficult question!
I know that I must find an alternate activity and get my focus off the temptation.
Other thoughts anyone?

The main go to has to be God and His word. Which you already do. Other things would be hobbies. Are there any hobbies you like to do or are interested in learning to do? Exercise is also good. It's a positive way to get some endorphins in you. Reading things that engage your mind...history, sciences, mathematics.

That was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. We are to work out our salvation with Christ. It is His to judge not yours. Your passive aggressive attitude needs to change. Maybe you should work on that and stop judging whether or not others are saved.

Non-Christians struggle too... and know they need help. Often they look to HP (Higher Power), not knowing whether it/he be a person or thing. But they see that they must look beyond themselves.
It would be great if they could feel welcome here!!! That we wouldn't force religion on them, but would listen and care. I pray that some will indeed come and find a welcome here!

They are welcome here. They just need to realize that this is a Christian ministry and that they will get biblical advice and encouragement. As long as they are ok with that, they are more than welcome here.

Thank you for the prayers. I'm sorry to say that this weekend was a disaster, but I will continue to fight. I was reminded of Isaiah 55:2: "Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare." (NIV). I'm tired of spending my time on the things that don't satisfy and leave me empty. I know it will be a struggle, but every setback leaves me more determined to continue the fight. I know that God is all and that the failing is on my part, and I pray for His strength to get me through.
