Yes we must not follow heresies. I am just putting my trust to Jesus and His Word as truth. I fellowship at a church that is non-denominational. I believe that Jesus is God in Human body according to John 1 and Revelations 1.
I believe in forgiveness of sins by the blood of Jesus because He died for our sins on the cross. 1st Corinthians 15:1-4.
I believe in salvation by grace not of my own works. Ephesians 2:8,9
Lastly, I believe that discipleship will the biblical program and way of life that we are called to live. When I call Jesus "Lord" I am saying that He is the Master and Ruler of me. If I call him my Master this makes me a slave to Him and I have no right of my own except to please my Master. Having this mindset helps me in my recovery from Sex addiction. To be sex addiction is making a "god" of someone or thing and as a Christian now, I gouge out my eyes and cut off my hands or I will perish in hell.
This is one of the promises that I hold dear
Matthew 7:21-23 KJV — Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
I never want to hear Jesus tell me those words. Imagine struggling with porn but still going to church yet Jesus says "Dominic, I never knew you"
This drives me insane so I bow to the Lord Jesus now. Kill this sick flesh sick natural selfish man I have inside me, and die to please my Jesus.
Romans 12:1-2 KJV — I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
