Hello, my name is Dominic, I am a s.xholic and I have been sober since 20 August 2016. God had helped me everyday. I am married with three children and I know that I can’t go back to my sinful ways. I’m looking for accountability from the other guys like me who want to live a sexually pure life.
I read books from “Every Man’s Battle” and “Purpose Driven Life” I agree with the 12 steps of recovery as long as Jesus Christ is the One and Only Higher Power and God.
Hello everyone.
In Recovery, Dominic M

I was disciplined by God recently. I told a bad joke to a co-worker then the husband told me that He would hurt me if I did it again. I know I was in the wrong. God help me.

No talking with other women only greetings. No joking with other women. I did a joke to a co-worker then she told her husband then he told me thst He would hurt me if I ever said anything like thst ever again. Removing Skype for Business profile and stay offline Remove the Outlook picture because this will help me be humble and not seek to get glory or compliments No talking with other women No talking with other women No secrets from my wife No trying to talk to other women No lunches where there are women involved unless I am forced because a potluck or going-away
My wide told me these things
I have a social problem like when I play Christmas songs at work so other co-workers hear it and I don't care. That is Autism and social problem and a bad example at work. My thought was that Christmas songs were a witness to others at work. When I shared this to my pastor he didn't understand why I was playing Christmas songs at work during non-Christmas times. He smiled but looked at me and asked why would you do that. I said because I wanted the others around me to hear about Jesus.
The truth is my Christian witness is a sham. I am a hypocrite. I will stop trying to justify myself.
I have disrespected my bosses and my co-workers saw it. I have said bad jokes at work and my co-workers saw it. I have aggressively argued with my co-workers and they saw it. I am a hypocrite because I try to make coffee for my co-workers and announce it like I want their praise andwhen they reject it I keep offering like in an annoying way and argued with them, therefore making my testimony of Jesus a fake, null, joke. I have acted too nicely to others for my own praise and benefit just make it seem thst I am helping when in fact I was doing it to boost my ego I have argued with my bosses in front of others. I have called out others and put them on the spot for their sins but I am guilty of my own sins. I have used work time for personal things. Like my own virtual machine I have been a bad worker I have criticized my bosses. I have enjoyed the bad jokes of my co-workers I have talked nicely with Japanese co-workers to see their eyes, skin, facial reactions and hear their voice to receive their praise. This means that I am desiring the women I lust over thst they worship me because I admit thst I am still trying to be god.
Try to be sober and clear minded so thst I am ready to handle what ever bad feeling or emotion or thought.
The Lord is with me Abide in Jesus Look to Jesus Remember Jesus

Have you apologized to the co-worker? If not, you should but do so with her husband present.
The things you mentioned about not doing are good things to live by.
We are all sinners and our Christian witness is for the most part a sham. We are broken and taking regular inventory of our sinfulness helps us get back on track with God. Although it is never easy to do this. Humbling ourselves in my opinion is the hardest thing to do. You have my respect for doing this and being open about it.

Hi Dominick! Have read your posts about your challenges at work. I also work in an office and can understand as have some of the same challenges. I kind of get where your Boss is coming from about the Christmas songs though. Not sure that's the best witness (also arguably Christmas isn't really Christian!) For me my best witness is sobriety. When I have been sober for a while I'm able to be a much nicer and calmer person, able to see beyond my own issues and insecurities and look out there to help others a bit. People respond to that a lot. Fortunately where I work there's almost no women! But one has just started working there who does cause me problems and is a trigger and it is difficult to interact with her 'normally' without acting awkward! God bless you. Hey on another thread you said you were reading through the Bible. Where are you up to?

Hey on another thread you said you were reading through the Bible. Where are you up to? Hi Will, thanks for your post. Yeah, I will not play the Christmas songs anymore. I guess it my more my will than God's will and I have to understand when others (like my wife, pastor, etc) correct me. I am sober but inwardly strugging with lust. It's getting better but I just go to keep keeping my focus on Jesus, casting down the wicked thoughts in the name of Jesus, and keep repending when the Lord exposes my sins. Today, the Lord exposed three in me from Proverbs 18. My foolishness, haughty spirit and bad mouth. Dear God please help me. As far as reading, I am in Psalms 18 right now. I feel led to stop and dig in a bit because I feel I wanted to better grasp a concept in the gospel and I feel this is part of it. Well, how are you? where are you reading in the Bible? talk to you later.
