That was good! Gave me "chicken skin", as we say in Hawai'i, a couple of times. That's what I feel like I've been fighting recently, that spirit of control and manipulation especially. I can attest to getting sick all of a sudden while my husband's sin was hidden. It was terrible. And we did have a couple of near tragedies with my kids at the pool, one where the other woman was actually present. She then contacted my husband before everything was disclosed to me. And then kept staying in contact with me as a means to gain forgiveness. Had to slay that dragon and finally cut contact on D-day. She was in our lives for two years, it makes me sick!
Now, it's just fighting against the spirit of Jezebel because she said some things to me which are confusing. My husband has been helpful in telling me again and again that I need to let her go to God and let Him take care of her. Working on using the weapons given to me to fight that nasty spirit and banish it from my thought life. I can feel myself getting stronger but I still stumble.
The only thing I didn't agree with was his take on Jonathan, though I got the gist of what he was saying, that sometimes the friends who are closest to you can be the very ones speaking poison into your life.
Thanks for sharing, really empowering stuff!

Yes that part about Jonathan was tough to wrap my brain around. But if we have to watch for it in our marriages then why wouldn't we have to look for it in friendships and other relationships? I have been dealing with this spirit my entire life. It's like a generational thing. My grandfather, father, myself, my husband, my brother. I am glad you got something out of it.
