Pastor Paul Sheppard is one of my favorite pastors, I fondly remember listening to him on the Christian radio station for so many years going to and from work and school, praying in the car about this or that. I moved so I don't have that radio station anymore, but thankfully, he is online, as well! He tells it like it is, straight from the bible, plus he has a hilarious way of story-telling. He's great. If you haven't already, give him a chance! (Each broadcast is about 25 minutes long & this particular sermon just so happens to be the latest one uploaded to the Destined For Victory website. It's pretty relevant to the themes we have all been discussing. THANK YOU, JESUS!!!)Is anyone interested in opening up a dialogue with me about his daily sermons? You know what to do! I get so much from Pastor Paul, I 'd love to share the blessing here & discuss...Introducing Jesus Christ, Part 2 - 7/10/2017: www.oneplace.com/ministries/destined-for-victory/custom-player/
"His Grace is Sufficient!"
I love this bit about people taking nothing but a million selfies for all of their stupid social media sites like pictures of themselves is the most important thing in the world! Ahahahha! Awesome."...That's why you wearin' hundred dolla' hats on a nickel head!" hahaha

Pastor Paul Sheppard (7/10/17) : Introducing Jesus Christ, Part 2: www.oneplace.com/ministries/destined-for-victory/custom-player/introducing-jesus-christ-part-2-contd-606399.html Here's what Pastor Paul had to say in his sermon today: ** 2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. ** * There's going to be something that you're gonna run up against, and you will try to rebuke it, and it's gonna REBUKE YOU BACK. Not because God doesn't have power, but because he wants to teach you about GRACE.* "I'm weak and I wish God to strengthen me in that area." But He comes back and says, "No, no - I'm going to let your weakness stay so that I can show forth MY strength." * Grace is an endowment. Grace is not always deliverance.* God wants to give you the power to overcome the trial, the hardship, the messenger of satan, to overcome the illness or whatever it is - He will give you the power to be an overcomer while the thing that's bothering you doesn't go away. You know why? 'Cause if he doesn't do that, you will think that the solution to everything is: Use God's power to get rid of it. * There are some things that He won't let you get rid of, at least not in this season, maybe never - He won't let you get rid of it because there's some stuff you will learn only if you have to hang on to Him while you are still dealing...* GOD WILL GIVE YOU A SUFFICIENT GRACE !! Sufficient Power! Sufficient Ability! Sufficient resources! So that your weakness remains, but God says, "I'm gonna bless you, anyhow." ...The Lord says "My strength is made perfect while you're weak." So He won't let you be strong about everything.* And this will help some of you who tend to envy folk - (Psalm 37). GOD has what YOU need so that YOU will have the sufficiency of HIS blessing in YOUR life and you don't have to be somebody else. The other thing is, the folks you are envying have more trouble than you think they are having! ... You have no business envying folk (especially evil-doers)* Grace is not only unmerited favor, it is sufficiency to deal with nagging, tormenting thorns in the flesh.
* Somehow GOD has given me the GRACE to survive with my right mind. Anybody want to thank Him for your right mind? I thank You that I DIDN'T LOSE MY MIND! I thank You that I HAVEN'T GONE CRAZY!! He will give you a GRACE to deal with nagging, tormenting thorns in your flesh. That's why Grace just isn't unmerited favor, it's also an endowment. ** Titus 2:11-12 "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously, and Godly in this present age." ** * Grace is a teacher. Grace will teach us how to deny ungodliness and worldly lust, and how to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age. Not only will God give you the ability to go through tough stuff, be He will give you the ability to live right when there are forces trying very hard to keep you living wrong.* Living right starts on the INSIDE and manifests to the OUTSIDE* Some folk have a bad, ungodly, prideful attitude. They might not be acting out in sin, but the PRIDE in their hearts is arrogant and sinful. * Have you ever been conceited? That's sinful? Have you ever had unhealthy low self-esteem? That's sinful... What is the problem? You are stuck on YOU. Conceited? You're stuck on how wonderful you think you are. Low self-esteem? You're stuck on how horrible/inadequate/ugly/etc you think you are. Listen, the bottom line is both sides of that coin are in a sinful state! You know why? Because God doesn't want you spending your life thinking about YOU! It's not His will. He didn't create you so you could have ingrown eyeballs!* Grace will teach you that you can live right, which starts on the INSIDE. God wants you to be focused on HIS will, HIS plan- that which brings Him glory.* God wants to bless us, but He wants to bless us en route to using us to be a blessing to somebody else.* Grace doesn't just give you favor, but it teaches you how to deny ungodliness & worldly lust. * Grace will give you the ability to live soberly. You don't need false stimulant in order to enjoy your life. But you don't know that until you get a GRACE that will allow you to find your stimulus in the will of God, in the sufficiency of God, in the people and things He brings into your life that'll be a blessing. * God wants you to be blessed without the blessing turning into a curse. * Grace will teach us how to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. God has the ability to not only give us the truth of His word but that Grace teaches us HOW to live. * Before He removes the thorn, He will give you the power to live with the thorn, but the thorn doesn't drive you away from productivity and fruitful living.

So true about God giving us the grace to deal with things in our lives. Before God was in my life the stuff I am dealing with now would have put me in the hospital. Now I am doing a lot of crying and am sad but it's a healthy sad not a deep depression that I can't get out of.

Pastor Paul Sheppard has a question for you today:
Do you acknowledge God in all of your ways - in all of what's going on? Or do you only call on Him when times get tough and when you are facing a crisis? Inviting Jesus into Everything, Part 2 (July 14, 2017) www.oneplace.com/ministries/destined-for-victory/
