Hi guys. I am doing OK. The domestic abuse shelter helped me with filling out the protection order. They checked on my brother. He is in a different County jail now. His bond is set at 10,000. The charge they used is a felony so the bail is set higher. The shelter also got me setup with a service that will call and text me if they move him or release him. It sounds like he will be in jail atleast until the beginning of next month because he needs 1,000 to post bail. He won't have that until he gets paid.
Now I just got to figure out how mom and I are gonna live. The first thing that needs to go is the car. We can't afford it without money from bro. We may have to move. So much to figure out.

That's great that the shelter helped you fill out the protection order- Praise God!
And you also have more information about exactly what's happening with your brother along with the call/text service set up, so I bet that's nice for a little piece of mind. I hope that he stays in jail for as long as you need to get yourself and the family situated.
I am sorry that you are having to get rid of the car. Hopefully you won't have to move.
It sounds like you did a great job today getting things done, Amy.
Well done.
Don't forget to take a few quiet moments today for yourself.
Even if it's just for 10 minutes.
I can only imagine how you feel with all of this going on...

So my sisters came over yesterday and we began the clean up and packing of brother's room. We found more alcohol and weed and a pamphlet on growing it. It makes me anxious just coming across more of it. I am dreading cleaning out the garage...we will get that started Tuesday.
The insurance adjuster was here yesterday. He went around the house with the contractor we are going to use. Now we need the contractor to give us a firm estimate. They will be out this week to do that.
My garden is doing well. I have harvested zucchini, sugar snap peas, beets, cucumbers and herbs. The tomatoes will be ready soon. Carrots and beans will be awhile yet.

Sounds like you had a really busy day yesterday- that's so nice that your sisters came over to help clean and pack.
And on top of it all, the adjuster came by with the contractor- Nice!
I can't really imagine having to physically go through a bunch of stuff, not having any idea what you will find next.. that sounds pretty rough.

Your garden sounds so fantastic!!
I wish I had one! H has been saying for 2+ years that he wants to help me get one started (the building of it, since the earth here is difficult to plant in and we have many natural veggie/fruit predators that need to be controlled) since I am pretty good with plants, but H hasn't gotten around to helping me yet. Maybe once I get caught up on rent, I can hire someone to help me build a raised bed or even put up a little greenhouse thingy somewhere! How is yours set up?

My garden is out in the open in the ground. The Midwest of the US has wonderful soil. It's black. We do have rabbits, birds, deer, and raccoons. But my back yard is fenced so all I needed to watch out for was rabbits in the beginning. They really liked my beet tops. I planted 2 rows of beets and carrots. I have cucumbers, sugar snap peas and green beans growing on the fence. Then my rows of beets and carrots, I also have green bell peppers, tomato plants, zucchini and potatoes. My herb garden has basil, parsley, 2 types of chives, dill, peppermint, rosemary and lavender. Lordy it needs a good weeding.
I have to see the chiropractor today. With my being sick my back is messed up. So I am hoping to get some weeding in Tuesday or Wednesday.

Mom really wants to stay here and not move. Please be praying that I can make it work out. I will have to really figure out ways to cut down on expenses.

Praying for you, Amy!
Lord please direct Amy on what to do in order to make whatever needs to happen possible.
Please give her a way to cut her expenses and stay afloat while she is going through this difficult time with her family.
Also praying for clarity and a straight path paved in righteousness and truth in regards to your brother.
