Oh you guys be prepared. Mike tells you in the book to get a pen and highlighter and I just smiled and kept reading. At the end of the 3rd chapter I went and got a pen, highlighter and post it notes. I had to go back and make notes and highlight and mark pages. Some good stuff in the first few chapters! Can't wait till you get yours and we can start chewing on some of Mike's wisdom!

Ok.. thanks for the heads up... I'm excited! Any info that will help me is welcome relief.. we got his work books and those have been very good so far! I would definitely recommend his workbook fir couples!

Ok.. so i said i was gonna start reading it tomorrow.. well im still up reading it.. i made it to chapter 5 and i need to go to sleep.. their is so much already that has honestly shocked me... one part in particular.. page 12.. #5.. the part about once a husband finds a method that works such as raging or blaming.. he uses it repeatedly until he wears his wife down and she becomes his slave!!!!
This quite literally stopped me dead in my tracks!! I see this in my husband.. i feel this way... i could never put it into words before... Mike did it for me...
This statement definitely effects me! I wanna cry and laugh all at the same time... im sad that i have been reduced to this person but i am so happy to read these words and feel the cold chill of what i knew was always the truth... with Gods help maybe now i can change it!
I dont have to let this happen any more!
This horrible thing of my husbands sexual sin that has destroyed life, my heart, my self esteem, my world.... has definitely changed me.. and im learning the change maybe isn't gonna be all bad and horrible in the end..maybe my heart wont turn to stone or ice!! maybe this will do me some good! Its hard to see it threw the tears and the pain but just maybe i will come out better than i was before, stronger, smarter, tougher.. just maybe i will remember who i am!
Even with all this pain and torment.. i will be thankful to god.. to get to that good place! Just maybe... i have hope!

There is so much in the book that I have had to reread chapters... I am on chapter 5 and have reread it twice and plan to go through it again. Even with the pen, highlighter and post-it notes, I can't take it all in.

Hi All, I just got my copy last night as I was heading out to our church's (Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia) Alternative to Addictions meeting. I actually brought it with me. I was torn between going and starting to read! Anyway, I started reading this morning while waiting for blood work to be done and then off to work, drats! I just love the way Mike writes and speaks, direct and to the point and to my heart. It's so comforting and reassuring to hear that someone understands and I am not a crazy woman over this mess, especially coming from a man. I am soooooooo encouraged! It also helps that our church is standing with me through all of this and so not blaming me for any of my husbands choices as well as supporting our desire to follow Jesus and seek restoration in our marriage. This will not be an easy road, but what is, if it's to mess with the devil and take a stand for what is holy! Really looking forward to getting into this book and adding to my arsenal in the war room! It's so incredibly refreshing to have a man/men call out another man/men on their unholy and inexcusable behavior. Really, really, really can't wait to see what the LORD is going to do, not just with our marriage, but all of our circumstances. Let's get after it ladies, and shame the enemy in JESUS' name and for HIS glory!!
