Had appointment with therapist today. I always am so down after therapy. Is it because she speaks the truth to me and for that 90 minutes I cannot bury my head in the sand? Does anyone else feel this way after therapy session? Or maybe it is because I really open my heart to her and speak out loud and speaking it out loud makes it "real".
I don't really know what I am talking about ... Just wondering if anyone else ever leaves therapy feeling drained and wanting to go to bed and pull the covers over their head .
Love and Prayers to all.
Grace

That is very normal gracey. When I first started therapy, I was the same way. I even got to the point that I didn't want to go. I had to fight myself. It does get better as you learn to deal with all the emotional junk. I always equate a good counseling session as the counselor holding up a truth mirror for you to look at. It is very difficult for most of us to deal with the truth when we have been living lies for so long.

Thanks, Amy. I must be seeing a really good counselor as she definitely holds the "truth mirror".

How are you doing hon? You have been on my mind and in my prayers.
Remember to go to our Lord when you need comfort. He loves you unconditionally. It is difficult to deal with the truth but God loves you too much to let you continue to live in the darkness. The great thing about our wonderful Father is that He will comfort and protect you while dealing with the truth.
