In the midst of the dark hour Job said "God, I know that you have granted me favor." (Job 10:12)
There are 42 chapters in the book of Job. Job made this statement of faith in Chapter 10. He was not delivered, healed, and set free until Chapter 42!
While I do wonder what chapter I have entered, it feels as though I have passed chapter 42 many chapters ago, I do know that if I stay in the game, keep pressing on, and do not grow bitter, God will bring me out just like he did Job.
There are no words for this trial that we are facing right now. There are days when there is nothing left inside; nothing to say, nothing to pray and nothing to cry. It is these moments that we need to cling to the Lord and stand firm on his promises just as Job did. We need to know that this trial is only for a while ... we have to trust God that it is for a divine purpose and is working for our good.
There will be joy on the other side of this trial and we have nothing to fear. While we may feel that our worlds are falling apart, we can find peace in knowing that all is well!
This, this trial, it is just for a while ... he is bringing us out and granting us favor just as he did Job ... we will make it to Chapter 42!
We are so blessed to serve a God who loves us so much and blessed to have each other to lean on.
