I have been so busy feeling sorry for myself this past week that I have not checked in on any of my friends. The enemy has been running around my house like a two year old drinking Pepsi! Gosh, where would I even begin, my husband is just not nice, my house deal fell through (that was God telling me to "Be Still"), I have strep throat for the first time in my entire life (and it feels like a near death experience), I was allergic to the antibiotic so I broke out in hives from head to toe, and (it gets better), I was walking down steps that I have walked down for 35 years and missed the bottom step and broke three bones in my foot. Running is one of the things that I still love to do so this has been difficult. I realized that I really do have a reason to feel sorry for myself ... but I sure do not have a right! If I believe all the promises that God has made than I will know that he is going to one day turn all the ashes into beauty ... he will pay me back double for all the wrongs, but I probably need to get out of my "Pity Party Pants" and shake off all the discouragement that I have been feeling and get back in the game. Sometimes in life we have to play in pain ... literally Blessings to all! Grace

Grace, glad you are back in the game. Satan loves to draw us out of the game that is for sure! I will be praying for your fast healing. Not sure what your living situation is with your husband but, if you aren't already, you could move him into a separate bedroom. Are you getting a Divorce? If so you could have the lawyer work it out so that you get the house in the settlement.

Bless it Gracey!
I pray you are better...sorry about your poor foot.
Wanna know what I am doing? Reading BG to get myself out of a pity party, lol. Seriously! I had a good day, but this afternoon was tough, just got really blue for no reason. Went to church, got hugs and chatted with my friends, but nothing helped. Sometimes we just get low, the feelings ebb and flow leaving us wondering if we are going insane or if the emotions will destroy us.
But the hard days get fewer, and farther between...we keep going against all odds because our Father in heaven is with us, He REALLY is. He sees every broken heart (and bone) here, and His heart breaks with us.
We are not alone.
Love,
Broken

Hey, Broken, welcome to my party! I have missed you and I think of you often. My poor ole foot is not as bad as it could have been. The orthopedist said that I was only one bone away from being in a cast. That really was encouraging to know that I broke the "right" bones. I am wearing the ugliest black walking boot in the world. Looks absolutely hideous with summer outfits and pretty sandals. Just another something to put in my book of memories!
You, my friend, are going to have some lows, you have been through a lot. But, you will one day, out of the blue, smack your forehead in disbelief and realize that it has been days, weeks, and even months since you had that punched in the gut feeling. You will find your new normal. It is just around the corner.
one thing we can count on is that the Lord is wiping away every tear that we shed and the SON is rising in our lives. God knows exactly what we have been through and he is turning it around.
He will turn our hurt into dancing and our sorrow into joy. We will receive beauty for the ashes. All that the enemy has meant for bad; God is turning it around for good. Isn't that comforting?
When we are still we can hear him say "you will dance again, you will laugh again, you will smile again, and you will leap for joy at how I bring you through it. See how I make all things new".
He knows that we have cried enough tears. He is bringing a victory! All we have to do is claim it!
So, sister, time to get out the dancing shoes and party pants! And hey, I have a beautiful black boot that you can borrow. (actually, you can just keep it)! There is going to be a victory dance and we are going to be the guest of honor... Amen!
So happy to have "visited" with you. You are a ray of sunshine and don't forget that!
Love and Prayers
Grace
