Hi,
This is my first time posting here. I am so happy I found this place, its nice for me to know I can let it all out here.
Let me start by saying that I am 26 years old and I love and pray every single day. I do have a problem though. My problem is porn and masturbation.
I struggle with this so much! I wake up everyday saying to my self this will be the day i stop for good, but i seldom find my self either at it again or contemplating it.
When I do it I immediately feel guilty afterwards, and I usually pray for it to go away. I really need advice because i know that this is not the right thing to do,but I'm so wrapped up in it. Please pray for me and my struggle with this addiction.
Anyone that has any advice please help!
Thank You,
Believer

Please pray for me and my struggle with this addiction. Anyone that has any advice please help! Friend, I will certainly pray for you. Regarding your request for input, here's mine: - Find and join a group of other men who are also working towards their freedom from sexual addiction. There are so many groups out there these days in large cities, and I even know of some telephone-based groups for those living in rural areas. - Find a counselor or layperson whom you can talk to on a regular basis. It must be someone who understands the nature of sexual addiction and knows how to help people get free! You must find at least one person in your "real life" (sorry, posting on an Internet forum won't cut it!) whom you can speak frankly to about this struggle. - Start reading recovery literature. I suggest starting with "Every Man's Battle" by Stephen Arterburn and "Breaking Free" by Russell Willingham. If you need any help or if you have questions, feel free to reply. Again, I'll definitely pray for you, my friend. I'm seeing so many men get free of this, and I'm in recovery myself. It can be done! Be encouraged! All the best, Steve

Hi Believer,
In addition to Steve's great advice, the thing I wanted to say is that as you might have noticed by reading through these forums, you are definitely not alone. Not only are there many people going through the same inner struggle you are going through, but many of them are great people. The fact that you have this problem does not make you 'bad', it just means you have a problem you have to fix. I am in your same situation, wanting to stop every day but not being able to. I feel the guilt and the shame, sometimes it is too much to bear, but slowly I am trying to find the way out. Just wanted to send out some words of encouragement and a prayer for you.
Welcome.
