I wish you well on your journey Armoredservant. It is sad that most people can't deal with the opposit sex when dealing with this sin. But that is part of the nature of porn...it turns the opposit sex into nothing but objects. Kinda hard to deal with them on an emotional level and learn that this sin affects them.

Like you, I beat this sin without anything but God and my accountability partner. I also beat it while I was single. I am so glad I was single because I was able to focus completely on drawing closer to God and fixing myself. I didn't have to split my concentration up to also fix a relationship with a spouse. It was a blessing from God. Then I married and found out what it was like to be a spouse going through this. It wasn't pretty. The emotionally upheaval, blame shifting, lying, etc was traumatic. I will always tell an SA that is single and going through recovery that they are blessed to be single because of my experiences on both sides of this sin.
