Welcome Armoredservant. Your story has many similarities to my own. This addiction is usually a symptom of deeper character issues and sin. It has roots that the Lord wants to deal with. May the Lord grant you the grace to die to your sin everyday. You can log your journey in the accountability section.

Hi Armoredservant:
Like Braveheart56, you and I have similarities in our stories. Especially the thing about destroying the porn material, and then buying it again. Also, like you, God delivered me from drug addiction, alcohol addiction, and tobacco without A.A., or a 12 step program.
Interesting approach you have there. I say bless you, brother...if it works then go for it! My thoughts and prayers will be with you, as well. Like you, I believe that the Lord doesn't just want me to abstain, He wants me set totally free. That's in His word, and it's His promise, right?
Hope to hear more from you. God Bless.

Cool. Like I said brother, if that method works for you then go for it. The Lord works with me in a little bit different way, but the main thing is that He does work in your life and mine, correct?
Good job on the 20 days. If I can be of service, please don't hesitate to let me know how, ok? And, by the way, welcome!

Yes, we need something from God to replace the high of addiction. Imagine - It's a cold evening, you are approaching a fireplace to be warmed, even to sweat from hit. It depends on how far you are from the fire. You can now go away from the fire and warm someone who is freezing. The warmth is not yours. It was given to you from the fireplace. If you remain to long far from the fireplace you'll get cold. You won't be healed with the warmth.
The key -
fireplace = Yeshua fire and warmth = love, peace, joy, patience, strength, healing ...... approaching to the fire = approaching to Yeshua by prayer how near are you from the fire = how much faith, honesty, trust,commitment... have you got during your prayer going away from the fireplace = abstaining from prayer
