My Quiet Time: Luke 15:12-19
“But before all these things take place, people will arrest you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name’s sake.
13 It will give you an opportunity to testify.
14 So purpose in your hearts not to prepare your defense ahead of time,
15 because I will give you the ability to speak, along with wisdom, that none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute.
16 You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death.
17 You will be hated continuously by everyone because of my name.
18 And yet not a hair on your head will be lost.
19 By your endurance you will protect your lives.”

I have recently forgotten these passages of scripture about the end of days. I often don't want to think about the fact that people are not going to be happy with me all the time. What I say and why I say it will be like vinegar in the mouth of some people. I used to think that I needed to defend myself and not let anyone abuse me in that manner. Now I'm seeing clearly that no I don't deserve abuse but I can endure it because of who it is that defends me. So as my heart compels me I will speak, some may listen and learn while others may ridicule and refute. That's okay even if at the time I might not feel okay with it.

It may be not one of your better days, but it's probably a lot better than what you were doing last year. It seems like you've had a more consistent week. I think you're going to beat me this time. Congrats brother.

8 out of 11... Not one of my better days. I'm not feeling well physically and got two pieces of bad news so I'm kind of emotionally drained right now. Sorry if I don't sound real chipper.

Been reading a lot about persecution and betrayal lately. This being the month leading up to Easter there is a lot out there. Today in my reading I came across this passage of Scripture: Psa 41:9 ISV As for my best friend, the one in whom I trusted, the one who ate my bread, even he has insulted me!
Imagine the pain, many of us have experienced this kind of pain in our own lives when it comes to pornography addiction. I have felt it in my own life and have been both instigator and victim of betrayal. It hurts on both sides and I need to remember that. Sometimes the pain never goes away no matter what is said or done. I'm learning this and the lesson is hard to take in. However I'm grateful to be learning The lesson now while I am able to do some thing about It. Truly I tell you I am blessed by my singleness. Truly I am blessed to be recovering alone. Rejoice in whatever position God has called you in at the present time and stop whining about the "greener grass on the other side."

Glad for the day off tomorrow. ⏳ I also picked up John Gray 's book " Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" so I'm going to be spending time reading that. I've already looked at some of his videos. One has to be careful as to not struggle with some of the stuff he says...Oh My!

Rejoice in whatever position God has called you in at the present time and stop whining about the "greener grass on the other side." That negative self-talk I've done in my days really did a number on me. If I ever wanted to grow, I had to address the internal negativity in my flesh. That part of me that says I need this, I need that, I need more money, I need a better family, I need to have fun, I need a better woman, I need better or more s*x. All of this ungratitude and resentment fuels my desire to act out with P and MB. When I changed my attitude, wrote out a grateful inventory, and started to feel grateful and thankful for what God had given me as opposed to feeling sorry and pitiful for what I didn't have, God showed up in my life in a huge way. You're picking up on some awesome stuff, John. Way to go! God bless you, brother!

Praying for a quick recovery. It is that time of year. Been dealing with sinuses and it went into my ears. I love the season changes but hate getting sick because of it.
