My story is like others I have read on here, one step forward, two steps backwards. Accountability is something I am missing and need in my recovery. Shame and guilt have kept me for reaching out to others. I have done a good job of isolating myself from others. I heard a teaching series the other day and the teacher said accountability is one of the keys to recovery. This time I got the hint from God's Spirit and that's one reason I'm here. I thank God he led me here. Thanks for your ministry. What will you do to connec to others?

Thanks for asking me that Man. I have bad habit of avoiding that question. I need to quit letting shame, guilt and pride from stopping me from seeking help from others. Doing this here takes a lot out of me sometime. I'll have a few "good days" and think I don't need to bother anyone with it, the pride thing I spoke of. You have any suggestions on how to get started? The past couple of years I have done a good job of isolating myself from others.
Thanks

I'm thinking about getting involved in a Men's bible study just to start getting around other guys again.
Thanks for the conversation, even it is online. It's nice to have safe person/place to come to.

Tobefree. glad to read that you are considering joining a men's bible group. I hope you're successful. I don't belong to one but do regularly meet people through a local church.
