My brother broke his leg below the knee in 3 places both bones. He also tore a ligament in his ankle. The ER doc just put a splint on it to hold it together until an orthopedic surgeon can look at it. ER doc says he is going to need plates and screws on the breaks and the ligament will have to be repaired...so surgery. Nothing like being woken up at 2 am to the huge crash of him falling and spending the morning in the ER. He fell b/ c he had been drinking.

I will pray for him as well. I hope he heals up quickly.
I broke my foot in 3 places in 2012, however, I didn't need surgery. I wore a boot but it hurt too much to walk on it.

Brother's surgery is Tuesday. He will have to go at least 4 months without putting any weight on it. Looks like I get to take over the yard work. LOL The one thing I have trouble with is getting the lawnmower started....wonder if bro can balance well enough to start it for me...guess we will find out when it needs mowed again. Yeah so I am praying for slow grass growth, no snow and a fast recovery for him.

Father in heaven, your ears are attentive to anything that your children pray to you and your heart grieves over all that man must endure. Far be it from us to ask selfishly for things we do not need. We ask you Lord on behalf of Amy's brother to provide quick healing for his leg. May his body heal properly and give him the strength necessary to endure this time of recovery. Be with that family Lord as each one does their part to help out. Give each a serving heart. God, bless them all in your unique way. Amen.
