When Evil comes to your Door - a true story

Has anybody got a story about how God has afforded maybe them or their family with physical protection?  This could be protection from a person, object (Car) or Animal e.g. snake, bear, whatever.  The purpose of this post is to show how good and gracious God can be to his children.   

We hit a deer in WI in 2002 with all three kids in the car. I had seen this buck running around our area for a couple of month and I think it was at least a ten pointer.

Well, it was Dec. icy and foggy and we were coming home on a curvy road in the country and someone had hit that buck into our lane and we went right over the top of it.

It was SO big that all four wheels of our Dodge Grand Caravan went up and over this thing or ALL four wheels left the ground. I screamed/prayed "OH MY GOD!!" and while we were going over this huge buck, our car was swerving like it wanted to tip over.

We went to my parents house and hubby hosed off the fur, blood and guts and everything seemed OK.

Well, a year later, we were up by DC b/c I was going to have my TMJ surgery and we broke down up there right before I had an appt. with my TMJ doc. Come to find out, a coaxle had been fractured and the dudes at the car shop said it was prolly that buck. Here we moved down here (or drove over 1000 miles) and drove with it like that for over a year and thank God we broke down at a stoplight! We had taken so many trips up to the DC area for my TMJ doc and if anyone here is familiar with I-95 (the highway that runs from Maine to FL) knows people drive like nutjobs on there and we saw accidents ALL the time, many of them fatal.

I believe God protected us the whole time we had this defect on our car. Can you imagine breaking down on a highway going about 70??

What a wonderful God we serve. We should count our blessings everyday. I tell my kiddos the bible says, "if you have food, shelter and clothing, we're supposed to be content."

Wow. When I was a little girl around 9 a semi stopped on the road where me and my two friends was standing. He looked at us for a minute then he got out and start walking toward us but just as he was getting to close some of the neighborhood teen boys came running down the hill screaming at him and he ran back to his truck and was gone.
