I have not been on this site for a long time, but have been struggling recently again with my Internet browsing habits. I have just been to some sites I should not have gone to, and now I'm feeling really bad about it. Just need to share with someone. I appreciate any encouraging comments you can provide. The next time I'm struggling (tomorrow probably) I will come and post a message.
Beyond this forum, I'm wondering if there any other online groups like chat rooms where I can talk to someone in real time? Also, if anyone is willing to communicate with instant messenger or something like that, that could really help me

The 12-step S-fellowships all have chat, phone, ad Skype meetings. You can do meeting searches at their web sites at saa-recovery.org/slaafws.org/sa.org/sca-recovery.org/Two chat meetings with which I've been involved in the past are at slaaonline.org/internationalslaaonline.org/The fellowship web sites also have lists of face-to-face meetings, which are very much worth attending if you can. I know you've mentioned a physical disability in the past; I don't know how much that affects your ability to get to meetings. Welcome back, incidentally. Tim M.

Thanks for the suggestions. Those resources might be very helpful.
I'm checking in again today because I'm feeling somewhat tempted at this very moment. I am feeling a little discouraged and unmotivated today, and this of course is when I am most vulnerable. My mind keeps drifting towards things that would bring me pleasure. But it would be short-lived pleasure, and would leave me feeling even more discouraged than I am right now. I know this, and yet sometimes my feelings and desires are so strong that somehow I convince myself to go look at something I shouldn't. But I feel like this time I'm going to keep my mind focused on other things and not let it drift.
