I first joined this forum when I was really struggling with the porn and masturbation while deployed to Iraq for a year. I had been pretty bad before I left, so as you can imagine- it only got worse being away from my wife and having a lot of time alone. I got home from Iraq in March of 2011, and for the most part, lust wasn't too much of an issue. I'd look at a girl's butt or boobs when we were at the store occasionally, (or tv, movie) but I didn't think much of it. I was sent to Louisiana to train for the month of February and it hit me. I had the urge to look at porn and once I watched a few movies, the urge to masturbate followed. I didn't tell my wife at first, but I ended up filling her in after I was home. She is such a faithful Christian wife, and is somehow always understanding when I screw up like that. We now have a 4-month old son, and for some reason, I thought having him would make me never want to do the porn/masturbation thing again... I was wrong! Anyway, just checking in- any prayers would be appreciated because even though I haven't done the porn/masturbation thing that consistently, it still causes problems when it does.
