Well, I believe Laurie Hall chronicled her husband's mental decline in "An Affair of the Mind." My husband lost his job today, ostensibly because a new product development did not go well. I question if that is an excuse and if the firing is addiction related.
Is this a new test for me or a firm shove out the door?

None of us can pretend to know what God is doing... I can only wonder if this might be one way the Lord is trying to get your husband's attention? Knowing God's character, I can't see Him wanting to "shove you out the door." I do know that He has always been faithful to provide my needs even in the darkest moments, financial or otherwise. I get to know His faithfulness the most during the trials.
I read Laurie Hall's book too. One of the best out there on the topic.
How is your faith doing these days?

Hi Mike,
My faith is non-existent at this point. I am numb. I reached out to my doctor and as of last Friday, the day after he was fired, and I'm now taking prozac.
My best, DW

Well, I've been taking the prozac for 10 days. Emotionally I don't feel any different, but my feet don't hurt anymore. The prozac seems to be treating my neuropathy. I'm thankful for that.
