Hello...my name is Misty and I'm the wife of a RPA (recovering porn addict). We're only about 6 weeks into this recovery process, and we're separated at the moment. My husband has recently given his life to God and I have rededicated mine to the Lord. We are members of a site for porn addicts/sex addicts, etc, but it's not a Christian site. And let me tell you...that makes it difficult at times. I'm so thankful I've found a site for us to have Christian support...that's truly the only kind of support I prefer. I hope we can be a great support to others here as well!
God Bless!

Hi Misty,
Welcome! Glad you found us--sorry you needed to.
A site that might be helpful for your husband is www.settingcaptivesfree.com
This one does not have a forum, but it has great info from a Christian perspective. www.pureintimacy.org
This site also has some info. www.troubledwith.com
You might check this Christian support site to see if there is a group in your area. It is not specific to SA, but could still be an excellent source of fellowship with those who are acquainted with other struggles. www.celebraterecovery.com

Thanks for the welcome AND the links! I'll be sure to check them out. And I will encourage my husband to also become a member here. I'm still trying to figure out these forums- kind of confusing for me, so far.
Have a blessed night!

Hi Wanda,
Have you looked for www.celebraterecovery.comin NJ?
Years ago, when I was looking at SAA, the only group I found was in northeastern NJ, but that may have changed.
This is scary stuff when other people are physically involved. I hope you have insisted that your husband be tested for STD's.

Wanda, Assuming "Jersey" means New Jersey, and not the Island in the English Channel, then there are in fact a lot of support meetings for sex addicts there. SLAA has several dozen meetings in NJ and nearby areas. One can start at directory.slaafws.org/usa/new_jersey and follow the links to the different intergroup websites. SAA has only a few NJ meetings, though they have meetings in neighboring states. saa-recovery.org/Meetings/UnitedStates/meeting.php?state=NJ is a NJ starting point. SA have 5-10 meetings every day in NJ. There's a list at www.njessay.org/ . If none of these are accessible, then the various S-fellowships have phone and electronic meetings, and there are meetings in other states. The home page of the S-fellowships are at saa-recovery.org/slaafws.org/sa.org/sca-recovery.org/One source for CSAT-certified sex addiction therapists is www.iitap.com/All of these are aimed at your husband, but there are also meetings for partners of sex addicts, sort of like Alanon. CoDA has 16 meetings in NJ, listed at coda.org/ajax_control.php?action=load_translation&language=1 . COSA lists only one meeting at cosa-recovery.org/states/New_Jersey.htmlSanon has half a dozen NJ meetings at sanon.org/MeetingsUSNJ.htm . COSLAA, at www.coslaa.org/meetings/ , doesn't list NJ meetings, but does have some in neighboring states. Again, those fellowships have phone and chat meetings as well. None of these are specifically Christian organizations, but all contain large numbers of Christians, at least where I live. Tim M.
