Hi, my name is Karl and I am addicted. I am a master at deception. Mainly deceiving myself. I have been doing porn for 22 years in some fashion or another. I hate every minute of it. However, it wasn't until recently that it hit me like a ton of bricks that I am addicted to it. I always thought I could just stop. Now I can't seem to no matter how hard I try. Some days are good and some, most are horrible. I want to do Gods will in my life but find myself falling on my face all the time!!! Why? I don't know what to do, other than continue to pray. When I ask for help and I backslide - sometimes in the same day - I feel like crap!!! I continue to make excuses and hate myself for it. I just don't know what to do.

Karl,
Once again, congratulations on taking a very courageous first step. By sharing this struggle with others, not only can the guilt begin to lesson, but you can get much needed support and encouragement. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have or help in any way that I can. Get involved here and begin to share your daily story and learn from other's stories and learn what true relationships are all about.

This message is for Karl and Matt. I had an idea, and I was hoping for input from both of you. The reason I am asking from the two of you is that it seems that Matt is a veteran when it comes to expressing himself and being an encouraging brother on this forum, and I think that myself, and perhaps Karl as well, need someone that is strong and understands and is active in helping others in a forum such as this. This reason I am asking Karl is because you and I seem to share a similar situation, and as a result, I feel that we can relate and encourage each other. I was hoping that perhaps the three of us can have a "mini group" via e-mail where we can perhaps encourage each other and keep each other accountable. I think this would be a more direct and helpful way to keep tabs on each other. I also feel that the smaller group will allow for more honesty. If Karl and Matt are not too busy, I would welcome such a group. Thanks.

Stan,
I'm not sure that I'd consider myself much of a vetern, I learn and am encouraged immensely from others on this forum. I'd be happy to offer any insight or discussion that I could via email. My address is listed in my account information, so feel free to email me at any time. I'm happy to discuss this or other issues at any time. Thanks for being proactive.

Karl,
Just wondering if you've taken any additional steps.
