i must say, i'm very glad to see there is a forum like this one. it's nice to know i'm not the only one struggling with a porn addiction. i've needed to deal with this for a long time. I'm 24 years old, have been married for 2 1/2 years now. No children yet. My wife and i are both Christians, but she doesn't struggle with porn at all, so it makes me feel really dirty when i masturbate and look at porn. i don't even enjoy porn that much at all, but i still do it, and i don't know why. i know i can beat this, if i figure out what is causing me to do it.

It really is not that hard to figure out. James 1:14 says " but each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust". The truth is that as belivers we have no one to blame but ourselves. It would be easy to put the blame just about anywhere else. Our addiction is a sin we choose each time we fall. No one forced me to look at those websites, no one clicked my mouse but me. With that said while this is a sin that we do in isolation, we can not get freedom on our own. I speak from experience. Without a doubt ; try to get freedom on your own, and you will fail. This is definently a battle where there is strength in numbers. The first order of business is to get God on your side.

All who have read my last comment here please forgive me. I realize it may have come off a bit preachy and even harsh. This is the last thing I want to do as I share the hope for deliverance we all have through Jesus. Blessings to you
