Hi Everyone,
I love all the book and article recommendations and click on all the links in your posts. I started a new topic because I thought it might be easier to find them all.
Actually, someone recommended reading Every Woman's Desire by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoeker. These are the same authors of Every Man's Battle. I can't find the post with the reference to this book, so I'm afraid I don't know who to thank!
This is a very good book. It puts precisely into words what I feel and what I have been trying to get across to my husband for years. In no uncertain terms, it defines the goal of marriage....oneness. It then goes on to explain that sacrifices made by each partner ultimately reap benefits for both.
There's a lot of scripture that may be hard to get through but it's tied into "today" examples that provide clarity and a way to apply the lessons to everyday life. The book may be titled "Every Woman's Desire" but I believe many of the lessons can be learned by wives as well. Definately a "couples" book.
Thanks again to whoever recommended this book. And in turn, I too would like to recommend it to others.
Allalone
